Now Nolan said that Joker's appearance influenced by first two appearances and Batman: The Killing Joke so what will it be same for Harvey Dent? The Long Halloween or Detective Comics #66 (August 1942) influence the character? What other comic will influence the character?

I hope The Long Halloween, it features such a great Two-Face origin story.

It has to be the Long Halloween - Nolan has said that it was some what of an inspiration for Batman Begins and Bale also mentioned how he loved that story. If they take the Harvey Dent from TLH, he will be perfect.

I think given Nolan and Goyer's love for The Long Halloween, it's pretty much a no-brainer it will be one of the most obvious and foremost influences in shaping the character of Two Face.

I like the TAS version of two-face! I hope Nolan use that.

I like voice of TAS Two-Face but not origin of it - nothing beats Long Halloweenof Two-Face origin.

I did like the build up. With Harvey losing his temper very often and all that. But the explosion scarring him was not really fitting, it felt kinda rushed.

I hated the TAS Two-Face. Havey's outburst made him a fairly unsympathetic character - even before his transformation. That should NEVER happen. Harvey in many ways should be the true hero of Gotham - as TLH showed.

I liked that ending for two-face better then the "throwing acid at his face" ending:confused: Just dont make sense to me. How the hell can someone sneak acid into court and than splash it perfectly on Harvey dent so only one half of his faced is ****ed up???!!! Never made sense to me...

No its makes more sympathetic because you know there's still good in him and there's a chance old Harvery can come back! Hope!

It was Dent's Assistant that sneaked into Maroni, Maroni can pay so much money to get the job done.

Yea but from a realistic standpoint the tas version would be better and I think Nolan would go that way.

Man who cares? Batman is not real anyway. I like that courtroom scene from TLH, when you tell origin of Two-Face you got have that scene it's so tragic scene.

I'd rather see Harvey get his face blown the **** up and watch Batman being too late to save his friend! Thats more tragic!

We will see what Nolan does, it's not up to us is it?

Nope we dont but keep in mind mines more realistic and we all know Nolan love realism! But your right, we shall see.

The Long Halloween did the same thing, much more effectivley. Whenever someone mentioned Gilda, the true "Harvey" came back.

Here's how I would do it to keep it in the courtroom and be realistic:

The mofia team up with the Joker to take out Dent during his trial. A paid off doc (Dr. Quinzel maybe?) is fixing up Joker after the big showdown with Batman preparing him for the trial. She has to replace several teeth (seems Tim Sale's Batman is always knocking out Joker's teeth) and gives him false teeth filled with the chemicals to scar Dent. (This is how Joker escapes from prision in his first appearance) During the trial he drops the false teeth into his water glass where they disolve into acid, and you know what happens. In the 3rd film, Joker escapes from prision and back stabs the mob. Again a theme from the Sale/Loeb books that the mob shouldn't do business with the "freaks"

In The Long Halloween Harvey's aid (a guy working for Maroni undercover) gave Maroni some "medicine" for his Ulser. The Medicine was, of course, acid. It coming from the D.A.'s aid would probably not be checked. It hit half of Harvey's face because Bruce (who was sitting in the courtroom undercover) yelled Harvey's name when he saw the acid. Harvey turned and BOOM! acid on one side of the head.

yep... i'd like the courtroom scene to be in the movie...

I'd like the friendship side of Bruce and Harvey like "BTAS" where they both respect each other, go on double dates with their gals, and talk business and renovating Gotham.

As for story "The Long Halloween."

how about Harvey and Batman just saved the day by stopping the Joker. the following morning Harvey is making coffee, trips and spills the hot coffee all over one side of his face. Then a dog comes in a eats half of his face off. And there, ladies and gentlemen, is your Two-Face origin.

There is nothing at all unrealistic about the TLH approach. I think that a murderous vigilante (which is basically what Harvey becomes in TLH) is a much more realistic turn than stone cold crook like he becomes immediately following his transformation in TAS. Plus, IMO, Harvey having a bad side BEFORE his transformation belittles the character of Harvey Dent.

B:TAS did a lot of GOOD things - their Harvey Dent story was NOT one of them.
