The Dark Knight BOF: Harvey Dent Already Cast?

What about Ryan Gosling (dunno if someone has suggested him) He would seem like out of left field casting and also seems like the type of actor Nolan would like to work with.

Who cares whos cast as harvey dent, the rumored premise to The Dark Knight sounds boring already.

I agree. Nolan needs to add 'plosions and more characters from the comics and crap!

He'd be a very good choice, albiet a bit young. He was outstanding in The Believer and recently in Half Nelson.

I dunno, he kinda sounds like a downgrade from the other names I've heard.

Who cares about Harvey????? Wow.....that's funny.....

Yet none of those actors are comparable to the likes of Caine, Neeson, Freeman, Oldman and Bale. And neither is Affleck.
Bob Hoskins is.

What about Justin Timberlake or K-Fed? LMAO.

I busted out laughing when last year Joey Fatone was rumored to be Clayface for the Batman sequel. Man, I agree news is slooooow lately.

Well, Ryan Phillippe is the Hollywood version of Justin Timberlake. Kevin Federline. Who is that?

Joey Fatone was rumored to be Clayface for the Batman sequel.

What would he do? Hey Batman, you can fight crime, but can you do this?

*synchronized dancing*:o

These are nothing more than tabloid rumors. Credulity lends itself to the whispers and fans like us have momentary nightmares at the horror of what if.

I've always thought of Dent as being an older man. [Mid-forties to early fifties]. After all, he is a Gotham City DA. What's the average age for a DA?

I'd like to see someone in the role who's never played a villain before.

Pierce Brosnan maybe. . . on the stipulation that he could provide a formidable American accent.

You are better off not knowing who that is.

I hoped we learned who'll be Dent by now....

Bradley Cooper, Bradley Cooper...I'm trying really hard, and I'm not seeing it. I've never been able to take him that seriously. In Wedding Crashers and Kitchen COnfidential, you obviously weren't supposed to take him seriously. In Alias, he was really much more of the bumbling yet charmning Abrams supporting character. I've never seen him play malice.

He does tend to get used for comedy more, but in certain episodes of Alias he was able to kinda let loose a bit. Like the 3x10 ep. "Remnants". Check it out.

Again, when I read BOF's Jett write that the movie was going to get a lot of hype and that not everyone will be happy about the name he heard...

^ This is why I wouldn't be surprised if Law gets the role.....remember what Jett said about the casting of Dent will get plenty of hype and will cause an equal amount of positive and negative reaction amongst us fans. Law would certainly cause that stir.

I can give you a million names that fit that description as well... Phillipe??? Affleck? Lucas??? Cusack???.... that report doesn't imply anything about Law... plus when was the last time he did an American accent... use your head man

How about Mark Ruffalo for Dent? Just another outside the box suggestion.

BTW, Jett's 'big hype, controversial choice' was just for a name he heard. Doesn't mean that it's the right name. Jett's heard a lot of names over the years. Hasn't been right about them all either...

as far as i know the only names bof got right were katie holmes and ken watanabe...

I am using my head when trying to make an educated guess as who it might be like the rest of you from Jetts clues. I know it could be Phillippe or Gyllenhaal, however I'm confident that it will NOT be Lucas. Law has as good a chance as any to be cast. Cusack would not cause a a big stir....Affleck would...but knowing Nolans track record when it comes to casting....Affleck is not his type of thespian.

I am using my head.....I believe the last time Law did an American accent was in that film he did with Nicole Kidman. Did he use an American accent in Closer? I don't remember....

I know Law also did a good job with an American accent in Road to Perdition.
