I can see a Miles Morales type of dual release for that one for both PS5 and PS6, especially if it ends up being a PS6 launch title.

Its crazy how many are already factoring ps6 and its wild how 2020 is already 5 years ago this year.

Its wild if Spider-Man 3 becomes a ps6 launch game or released during the ps6 era, because this would mean we only get 1 main Spider-Man game once in a ps console generation.

I played Miles Morales on PS4 but the game was a fun yet very short adventure. It really felt like a smaller spin off game.

Does anyone think we should've heard something official about this game by now?

I'm seeing on reddit (and yeah it's just reddit and just speculation, I'm aware), people speculating they might have been making changes to the story. That gave me so much hope.

I would be so ****ing relieved with some changes on the portrayal of some characters. And that wouldn't require major changes on the story. This isn't just a Wolverine game afterall, this is setting up the X-Men games.

Also I heard the other playable character was supposed to be Lorna instead of Jean. I don't remember Polaris having any strong connection to Logan at all in the comics, but to be honest I'd be relieved with that change. And although Jean's gameplay has already started development, I can see similarities in how their powers would work on the game.

I'd also love if they changed Sinister as the main villain, but THAT would be a major change that I don't see happening.

Anyway, just some changes in some characters portrayal would already make me happy and less concerned with the upcoming X-Men games.

Iirc, they announced Wolverine, when production was just about to start. To me, its just ridiculous to announce something in 2021 and four years later, the game still doesn't have a release date.

Which really doesn't make sense to announce Wolverine at that time, since they also just announced Spider-Man 2. And it wasn't like Insomniac was in trouble to be announcing Wolverine that early.

Another thing to remember is this was during Covid, when companies were trying to double down on their products and announce all sorts of things.

Not to mention after the Insomniac hack, the company has been trying to slow down due due to worker moral.

During the early years of PS5, it looked Insomniac was going to pump out these new games like very other year. From 2020 to 2023, they've released Miles Morales, Rift Apart and Spider-Man 2 - 3 brand new games in 4 years. Now who knows when will Wolverine and Spider-Man 3 arrive.

I mean at this point there's no use in stressing on it lol. I know your anxious like everyone else is. But they'll spill when they spill. Best thing that can happen is they work to meet their deadlines and work to give us the best wolverine game they can make. Whenever it may come.

I'm not anxious as I have like 20 PS5 games I have to catch up on. Its just this thread gets updated with the game not really progressing, hence why I commented.
