Hey guys and welcome to "Inspiration for a Joker" thread. Basically I wanted to start a thread based upon people and characters that remind us of our fellow Ace of Knaves. For example last night I was watching Air Force One with Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman and as I was watching Gary playing a role of a psychotic Russian on a killing spree and he reminded me of (obviously) the Joker with his taste for mass murder and self-crazed beliefs.

He sometimes reminds me of the Joker.

They both have this charimsa about them but at the same time seem really creepy, and its all just them being them.

I was watching a behind the scenes documentary on the TAS and found out the Mark Hamill based his Joker on Jack the Ripper and Jerry Lewis.

Very true, but I think Sam Tyler himself was a pretty damn good character as well.

What about Cesare from the Cabinet of Doctor Caligari? He was in entranced state but he moves and looks like the Joker should. Coincidently, it's also a Conrad Veidt role, and DeVito credits Caligari as an inspiration for the penguin.
