Instead of killing Jean,why couldnt Logan

Because she was also super-enhancing his healing powers, as a side-effect of her powers. As stated in the novel, and by someone else on here.

Then how the hell did he get knocked out when she flung him against the wall? He should have walked that off if she "amps" peoples powers. And this amping thing is only done with Wolverine. What a coincidence.

*sigh* I will stick with "Jean didn't want to kill him" excuse. It keeps my sanity.

If you go with the jean not wanting to kill logan so she held back. Why did she want to kill scott , the lover she chosed, or xavier , a person she knows as a father figure and ultimately trustworthy? Just admit it and give up. 75% of X3 made no logical sense even in the movieverse that was set up for it.

Did you watch the same movie I did. They didn't even clerify if cyke was dead. Tell me in which scene they said jean accidently kill cycke because I must have missed it.

Actually, the theory of Jean, or Phoenix rather, reacting badly to anybody or anything that has tried to hold her back and therefore seeing them as a threat works quite well.

Cyclops trapped her in a relationship when she was interested in other things (Logan)

Professor X trapped Phoenix itself.


But the theory I go with is;

she killed Scott accidently. But I don't even believe he is dead, so...

And as for Professor X, he brought his own death on himself. Firstly, he created the other personality to Jean, and subdued it. It awakens, enraged, and the first thing he does is go down to Jeans house, confront Phoenix/Jean head on, and then try and invade her mind and block out the Phoenix, thus enraging her, starting a psionic battle, prof trying to close Jeans mind, Pjoenix fighting to keep him out, which Phoenix ultimately wins when she overpowers him and tears him to bits.

Anyone else curious about the sessions Jean and Xavier had when he found out about the other persona? Reminds me of the sessions Jean had on Muir Island with the Phoenix taking over. Maybe this is ment for the Jean thread.

Even if phoenix liked logan. She knew he was going to kill her. The ultimate trap is death. Wouldn't she feel threaten by that.

Jean said to Logan " kill me before I kill someone else", the else meaning that she killed someone already and Professor X said "Look what happened to Scott, you killed the man you love because you couldnt control your power"

For me that pretty much meant that he was dust in the wind.

I wonder about their sessions too. Obviously the Professor didnt like what he saw.
