The fantasy thing sounds much more up my street too. They would be one of the best independent devs to get. Hitman seems good but not really my thing. I got stuck in a wardrobe on my last attempt lol.Hope it's true and gets revealed at E3. I've been hearing about this, along with speculation that it could mean IO is a potential acquisition target for MS.
I've never played any of the Hitman games, but this fantasy RPG sounds more like my thing and I know IO is working on a James Bond game. If that Bond game becomes Xbox exclusive via an acquisition, that would be a big plus, imo.
This fantasy game, along with a possible acquisition of IO, would certainly be welcome news at E3.The fantasy thing sounds much more up my street too. They would be one of the best independent devs to get. Hitman seems good but not really my thing. I got stuck in a wardrobe on my last attempt lol.
Maybe they are going to see how this game goes and the relationship during it before pulling the trigger. This fantasy game, along with a possible acquisition of IO, would certainly be welcome news at E3. Would be a huge get any time though of course.
Given how the past several E3s have gone for MS, I feel that they have ZERO excuses to NOT hit it out of the park this year. They almost HAVE to have a solid, impressive showing this year. It can't just be more teasers of far-off projects and the general sense of "wait till next year."
And no more Craig the Brute!![]()
That is all true. And I don't expect them to reveal everything at this E3, nor do I want to build up lofty, unrealistic expectations.Maybe they are going to see how this game goes and the relationship during it before pulling the trigger.
I’m confident E3s from next year onwards are going to be stacked. I’m hopefully this year is going to be amazing too but I think they got burnt with Halo Infinite and all the other complaints about CG trailers. They may not want to release gameplay for various games that aren’t imminent unless it’s very much ready and already looks awesome. So that combined with COVID delays and long dev cycles may mean they still hold back on some things this year.
Haha, Craig will be the one presenting the Microsoft conference.
Certain games like Halo Infinite, Starfield and Forza Horizon are pretty sure to show up given how close they should be by now. I just don't know if every announced game will get a showing due to being far enough out that the gameplay isn't going to be polished enough to risk another disaster like last time where the Halo hangover distracted from everything else they showed. Ideally I'd love to see every game exactly as it is right now but that doesn't go down well with many. That is all true. OTOH, MS can't afford to play it TOO safe, IMO. They HAVE to show and deliver us something this year, and that includes some surprise announcements and some surprise 2021 releases (like Starfield and/or FH5).
Yeah. They definitely don't want another Halo Infinite situation again........haha.Certain games like Halo Infinite, Starfield and Forza Horizon are pretty sure to show up given how close they should be by now.
