Marvel seems to love Australian actors so what about remy hill as iron fist? He's already got an in with Netflix after working on Marco Polo.

I kind of like the idea of a youngish, early twenties iron fist. It sort of puts him in that backpacker, age of exploration mode

I think they should get someone who can do the martial arts stuff.

Did you guys ever see Miracle? It's a hockey movie. Anyway, the director only cast actors who were also hockey players. If they couldn't play, they couldn't audition. The filmmakers didn't want to be "fake."

I think Iron Fist should take that same approach. Get someone who can, one, act. And act well. Doesn't need to be a start, but a solid actor who can carry a series. And two, someone who gets, understands and appreciates the kung fu history and culture and who can do the moves.

I trust they'll find someone who can really breathe life into the character. I would've never thought of Charlie for Murdock and yet he was perfect.

I'll agree to this casting since Danny is meant to be a young guy. He was around ten years old when he found Kun-Lun and since the city only appears once every 13 years, he'd be around that age.

Someone on Reddit is stating that Luke Bracey visited his comic book shop and picked up the Immortal Iron Fist Omnibus. I think he would be a decent pick in terms of being similar to the look of Daniel Rand from the comics, and it seems like with Point Break coming out he is going to be somewhat of an up and coming action star. So, I guess we will see. Not sure if he might have any experience with Martial Arts. Doubt it, but you never know.

You know... not bad.

I know a lot of people are down on him, but I rather like Ryan Phillipe (still looks right, loved his acting in Secrets and Lies, fit as hell, looks the part, and knows martial arts).

You'd have to dye his hair, but Colton Haynes has been suggested by some friends... eh, dunno. Not a bad actor, or even bad choice, but I almost feel like he has too square a jaw and is even too short, which, I know, shallow and there's always 'movie magic'. So, toss up there, I suppose. Same friends also suggested Shawn Ashmore, but fairly certain they are just trying to pull and remove as many people from Fox as possible.

Still liking Luke Bracey, too.

Interesting choice. But his mannerisms (and his eyes) make him seem...I don't know; kind of unintelligent. I think he'd not pass as a businessman very well.

Luke Bracey is in that awful looking Point Break remake, so I say no. They have time to cast Iron Fist. Why? They are busy with other shows first. Season 2 of Daredevil and Season 1 of Luke Cage. Iron Fist comes last, and his show won't be on until 2017 at the earliest.

if there doing anything close to the characterization of Fraction/Aja Iron Fist, then Olsen is a near perfect choice. Only his age is a factor. Even loosely connected to Cheo Hodari Coker-who produced 24 epsidoes of NCIS:LA


For the record, I don't even watch that show. That stuff is terrible...but I've seen enough of this guy's other work(Fired Up,Community,Brothers & Sisters,Celeste & Jesse Forever,BeerFest) to think that there is no better visible actor than Olsen to play this part.

Not all the Defenders need to be dark and gloomy. If Iron Fist is tonally similar to Daredevil, he becomes sort of redundant.

Michael Roark for Iron Fist!!!!!!!!!!! He's a great actor, is an up-and-coming name (in the same vein as Cox and Colter), is 32 (Marvel usually casts their hero protagonists around that age) and looks exactly like Danny Rand in the comics.
