Well, I think for voice actor, if not Peter Cullen, then they really need to go with an actor, not necessarily a well known one mind you, who can do a non-caricature-like drawl, but more importantly he must eschew the character with the pathos a longtime veteran of a many millenia fought war would portray.

Agreed. It is pure marketing, playing off of this generations love of nostalgia and Sci-Fi.

We are the Peter Pan generation after all and we have the money. There were not many 30+ year olds back in the 70's that collected toys and read comics and crap but there are now.

Well, I'm just wonder what ironhide's Robot Mode really looks like. I can deal with a Black Pickup Truck (Oh how the song Like A Rock invades my mind whenever I think of Ironhide now.) since it fits his personality, and let's face it black is better than that awful Moo Cow print from RID.
