Who is our biggest Marvel fan here? I have a question about Iron Man 3 and AoU...

At the end of IM3... Tony destroys his whole machine army... so why is it back in AoU?

I heard it was because Whedon basically said 'screw Iron Man 3' and ignored it?

Whedon also chose to ignore Agents of Shield.

We had a meme that was like "**** this ****" .... "just kidding, I need to pass this test."

I think that's kind of what Tony did with his Iron Legion.

The iron legion in Iron Man 3 were suits that could be piloted by JARVIS. The iron legion in Age of Ultron are just robots with no empty space on the inside that would allow a pilot, so the suits in Iron Man 3 and Age of Ultron aren't the same.

New Lounge already? That was quick. :p

Day Lounge AHHHHHH, Fighter of The Night Lounge.

Just wondering where is CC? Haven't seen her around for a while?

I think shes just been busy with adult stuff.

Essentially Whedon is a hack and I suspect Fiege and Co where unhappy with Iron Man Three for being too much of a wild child film.

Obligatory Iron Man 3 is my favorite marvel movie post.

Daily reminder that someone's gone

Tonight's SNL is a special for Prince with his sketches and stuff. I didn't even know he had hosted before.

Mine too. It's got the uniqueness and ambition I crave in my CBMs, but it's also a really well told story.

Iron Lounge Three?

Who is the beautiful heavenly soul who did that title? :pcg::pcg::pcg:

The Iron Legion wasn't the same idea as the suits in IM3 at all. Essentially, those suits were a manifestation of Tony's insecurities following NYC. They were a distraction, a way for him to keep toiling so that he didn't have to face his life/reality (and on the metaphorical/existential front, a way for him to keep "improving" himself). He created the Iron Legion so he could get back to his life. The goal with their creation was IM's retirement, and he thought after finishing off the last remnants of HYDRA, that would be it. At least that's how it came off to me.

The beautiful heavenly soul that is stuck in 2013

Of course it was the all DC hater FLICK! :hehe:

For this... I'm going to force feed you english muffins until we get to 1000

I figured the end of Iron Man Three was Tony coming to grips with the fact he can't control everything with an army of Iron suits. He is Iron Man, he is who he is and all he can do is his best. The Iron Legion kinda contradicts that.

Well IM3 had a paranoid Stark creating a bunch of suits. Age of Ultron had Stark creating a drone army that could be controlled by an AI.

It's somewhat different.
