Iron Man Sequels Iron Man 4...not so far away at all?

I enjoyed the first Iron Man but not the last two. I thought the first one set up a potentially great trilogy. Right now, I'm disappointed in the franchise despite it's overwhelming success.

I actually enjoyed IM2 more than IM3. It's a decent trilogy, but the last 2 movies just lack something the first had to offer.

May I ask how you like IM2 more than 3?

Like, just curious. Nobody did anything in that movie.

In Iron Man 3, you hardly see Tony Stark as Iron Man. The film to me felt empty. I also didn't care for Pepper being the hero in the end.

There's something about Iron Man 2 that I like more than Iron Man 3. I know Whiplash was underused and it's basically a set up to Avengers, but there's something about the flow of the movie that I like.

And I give both IM2 and IM3 an 8/10. It's not like I'm making IM3 out to be a crappy movie. Just enjoyed IM2 more.

Tony wasn't in the suit in IM2 much more than he was in IM3, If I recall correctly. Pepper I can't sway you, but she also basically defeated Obidiah Stane too lol. Whiplash definitely had the worst death IMO.

Probably...but he wasn't in and out of the suit constantly in Iron Man 2.

Well, that's one thing that I disliked about the first movie. It was completely different though in the third. All she did in the first was blow up the reactor, while in the third she acted like she had been fighting bad guys for years. Her character completely changed IMO during that final act.

It might have been the worst, but as far as the character is concerned, it seemed right.

I really need to sit down and watch the trilogy as whole. I had an Avengers marathon before Thor 2 came out. Haven't watched them in order yet.

I still don't realy get the criticism of Tony not being that much in the armor, i barely noticed that during the movie, Tony Stark is simply that entertaining, i prefered to see him use the suit or parts of the suit in creative ways that had never realy been used before, instead of just seeing the usual Iron Man fighting style, that is entertaining, but we've seen plenty of time, and will see many more.

The whole point of IM3 was that Tony is Iron Man with or without the armour.

I enjoyed the first film when RDJ's personality drove the film and gave it energy. I found him a bit overbearing in the last two films. As if they were relying on RDJ's personality a bit too much. But that may just be me.

For Iron Man 4 I would like him toned back down just a little bit. But again. Others may see it differently.

For Iron Man 4 they should start making the character more serious, if they're planning on eventualy replacing RDJ, they need to make the transition easier, so that the next actor can be more serious on the role, instead of feeling like a weaker RDJ impersonator.

They have to revisit the Mandarin. IM3 was a farce of it, and was only redeemed by the One-Shot "All Hail The King." The Mandarin was too great of a nemesis for Iron Man. Maybe they're planning to roll it in with AoS, with the Mandarin being Skye's father, who knows. All I know is they can't leave it how they did, and Iron Man 4 would be a perfect venue.

Lol naaah

The best Mandarin has to offer is that he's (supposedly) the least worst villain in a terrible rogue's gallery. Personally, I like Justin Hammer & Ghost more.

I just wish that Marvel would stick to their guns, what's done is done.

I don't care what Feige says, this wasn't planned from the get-go. You can spout all the BS you want, but at the end of the day, BS is BS.

Why worry so much about Mandarin anyways? Vanko and Malekith were 1000000 times worse, and yet people seem to be ok with them

I believe Fiege is genuine. The movie already made loads of money and got it's critic score. Fans complaining won't change that. They didn't have to do the movie short where it's revealed there's a real Mandarin, or pretend they always planned this. It won't make Iron Man 3 any more successful.

Hell yeah. I hope IM4 happens, RDJ's comments are encouraging, as are Feige's...Real Mandarin? awesome!
Iron Man 4 has a good chance of being the best IM movie yet...

I hope IM4 happens. RDJ is open to it and he is set to be part of TA3 so, who knows? As long as the script is good and well thought out, RDJ will be on board I think. I just feel sorry for whoever replaces him if they do a reboot. RDJ pretty much started the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the success of the first two Iron Man films, the others followed.
