Probably because it's a natural human response to want to be able to turn your head. Also, there's the comfort factor. The suit's not supposed to be uncomfortable.

I don't understand what you mean. I think in each movie Iron Man is in he'll have a new suit.

Hopefully Tony's main suit, The Mark III, stays the same appearance wise through the course of the films. I think the mainstream public has come to identify the character with that color scheme and suit. I think if the suit gains new abilities that's perfectly fine, but don't change the main suit that much. If he needs to use other suits, i.e. The Hulkbuster Armor to track down the Hulk, that's fine too for special occasions.

I dont think that Stark needs to be using like 5 suits a film. But it would be cool to see him WORK on different suits or have different ones displayed.

Maybe he has to go out and do a certain mission and then A.I. Jarvis is like "Mabe the STealth suit Sir or the blah blah suit" and gives us a visual of the suit. That would be enough for me.

It should really stick to be the Mark III red/gold suit throughout each film, just minor changes on it here and there.

IMO Iron-man's best trait was his ability to adapt to all situations, whether on the battle-field or in the lab after a close battle. New suits is the way to go! All the time! Just look at how many times the suit has changed through the years... 200? 300? Extremis suit is my favorite. Looks so sleek, like alien-tech almost.

Well the Mark III suit from the movie is stylized after the extremis armor. Anyone have a clue as to what some of the new features might be?

^This is just a guess, but from the Hall of Armors pic we've got it looks like Stark might be further stream-lining the Mark III so that the Mark IV is quite sleek.

Absolutely. Why wouldnt they, when there's all that sweet sweet action figure money to be made from it?
I'm guessing the armour'll get to about the halfway point, then it'll be destroyed.

I'm sure they'll make plenty of money from the action figures for Whiplash, both prototype and Crimson Dynamo suit inspired. Also will see a War Machine one too and possibly a Black Widow one so really no need to change much of the Iron Man suit for action figure purposes.

I want the MkIII to get destroyed and want Tony to wear Extermis Armor

The movie armor and Extremis Armor are almost the same. I'd rather see some other stuff like the Ultimate Iron Man armor (which I think should have been the Mk. II), the Silver Centurion, Heroes Return, etc. in Iron Man 2 than the Extremis Armor.
