Iron Man Iron Man vs Iron Monger

The only thing that really dissappointed me about the fight was that Tony wasn't the one responsible for his demise. I would've taken Stane being imprisoned, or killed over Pepper being the one who takes him down. Badass movie, though.:stark:im:

I liked it better than the GG/Spider-Man fight in the first Spider-Man. Seeing Iron Man use his wits as well as having Pepper's help in defeating Iron Monger ranks it high on my list of comic book movie finales, right behind Batman Begins.

I had no problem with he final fight at all, thought it was awesome. I really liked Jeff Bridges voice in the Iron Monger suit, very powerful.

Well, Tony was the one that thought of how to kill him, it wasn't like Pepper saved Tony's ass, Tony was keeping him occupied while Pepper did what he told her to do.

One thing I wondered though, how the heck did Pepper get outside quick enough to avoid the huge explosion Monger created when he fell into the building?

..Paltrows long legs.LOL! :D

I thought the finale battle scene was perfect. Not too long, not too short.

pepper stood in the same spot till she got the call to do something for tony (my friend noticed that and had a problem with it)

realistically she really shouldn't have been sitting there waiting

not really my problem tho

mine is

all the "true" TF fans *****ed and moaned that sam (and the humans) deafeated Megatron (and helped with the rest)

while here Iron man is presented with pretty much the same situation and no one notices,

unitll now
:cwink:

idk i tought the same thing, she probably ran when she saw obidiah falling and i mean she probably got the hell out of there

also she escaped because right before they switch scenes you can hear her screaming tony

i loved the ending after the credits freakin epic

it was cool

i forgot that hitch and millar designed fury to look like Sam J

i can just imagine that scene now with David Hass lol

According to the comic fans (And a handy dandy Wikipedia search.) who can back me up Tony didn't directly off Obadiah Stane in comic continuity as well. Obadiah used his own repulsors to blow his head off while Tony stood there and watched him do it.

lol and optimus didn't actually defeat megatron

Excuse me? I didn't know what the hell was going on to notice how Megatron was offed in the first place. Perhaps you [sarcasm]the real "true fan"[/sarcasm] can explain to me what Spike did to Megatron because I was too busy trying not to vomit from all the shaky cam. All in all, in Iron Man how Iron Monger was defeated was much clearer in how Tony and Pepper stopped him.

as last fights go, it was pretty turd

blade, blade 2, spiderman, daredevil, spiderman 2, hulk, punisher all had much better climatic intense fights than these two...

i hated the way the big power drain came from taking flying into orbit, especially considering how little damage it did to tony originally and finally to stane's suit.

Personally i wish stane would have fired a jericho missle at tony and he'd have to use a mass amount of repulsor blasts and evasive flying to take them all out while not harming people. the mass amount of repulsor blasting would have made more sense as a source of energy drainage.

if that was included as well as a smack up between both characters with decent displays of strength on both sides, i would have been much happier.

it just lacked some epicness, it definitely had no suspense like spidey getting upercut while holding a tram full of kids...only to catch it again...

that's one of the few things i felt was sort of a missed opportunity
Ironman versus the Jericho
would have been cool if it was turned on his own city

would have been cool...
didn't hurt that it wasn't tho

time out, let's calm down

anyways i never claimed to be a true fan, i feel you've taken that implication from the way i carry myself

what i meant by that sarcastic statement was
unlike the general audience, the (g1) fans of the original material considered themselves the "true fans"
and not me simple calling ppl that had a strong opinion true fans
i'm lost on the point anyways

what happened?
your kidding right?

assuming your sensory skills are as weak as you claim(i doubt that)
all the foreshadowing pretty much allow your cognitive thinking to piece it together...before it happens actually.
(then again it helps to watch the movie and not just take notes on why bay is dumb)

Hang on, you just cited Spider-Man 2, which, while a great movie, had a final fight consisting of "Now I punch Doc Ock in water many times because we're out of money" and Hulk which consisted of "Now you see vague flashing lights and colours underwater" as having better fights than this? A bit TOO far, I think.

He was using the old heart which was never intended to power something on anywhere near that scale.

I doubt Stane has them lying around pre-set up for short notice use.

it just lacked some epicness, it definitely had no suspense like spidey getting upercut while holding a tram full of kids...only to catch it again...

That wasn't really the climatic fight in Spidey 2 though...

I've always thought the final "battle" in Spiderman 2 was the least impressive of the trilogy. But the climax otherwise was still great.

He was using the old heart which was never intended to power something on anywhere near that scale.
Yeah, and wasn't that heart barely able to support the Mark 1, for a suspended amount of time?

That wasn't really the climatic fight in Spidey 2 though...
It was part of Spiderman 1's climax.

the fantastic four movies have "fantastic" climax battles

-hnn

Meh... the 1st final battle in FF sucked ass. The 2nd was better, but was over way too quickly once Johnny got all the FF's powers. And then Doom got knocked into the water...

I consider Spider-Man 2 to have a long climax, starting with the train fight and ending with the warehouse. Basically, you can't trump the train fight, it's that good, and they knew that, so they didn't bother trying. The true climax is really MJ discovering he's Spider-Man. It's more of an emotional thing than an action thing.

I was disappointed in the final fight, it was way too short and needed more "high spots" during it. But it is what it is.
