Billy Cudrup, check him out in "Almost Famous" he has the look and drunkness (is that even a word??), he is a pretty good actor too, I think he could nail it.

I'm sure the geek patrol will bash me for this but I kind of forgot about this guy but he could be a good actor for the role. He's surely capable of playing someone with heart issues and portraying someone at odds with his father. I'm glad to see him back at work w/Val Kilmer looking young again, and Shane Black back to what he does best. I wouldn't mind John Cusack either.
