I'll read it just to round out the crap-fest saga, but after that I'll stick to Spider-Girl: the one TRUE continuity.
I want to know why The New Avengers don't remember that they knew Peter was Spider-Man, why they didn't get their memories back, yet The Fantastic Four did...?
So, Pete and MJ made a deal with Mephisto to:
1-Heal Aunt May
2-Rebuild her house
3-Remove the marriage from existance
4-Mindwipe everyone on the planet so as to forget that Peter Parker was Spider-Man (i still know)
5-Remove Baby May from existance
6-Alter all forms of recorded information (statues, pictures, video, interviews) about Peter being Spider-Man
7-This doesn't count the unintended changes, wether Marvel wants to acknowledge them or not, they are there...

We don't really know for sure that MJ asked Mephisto to restore Pete's secret identity. For all we know she could have asked Mephisto to keep baby May alive.
No, I wasn't referring to the whisper. She out and out asks for Pete's secret ID to be restored or else the same thing could possibly happen again.
I'd say go back and read it again, but I wouldn't want to do that to you.![]()
Aloha,
You are correct sir.Notice that Mephisto states to "Mrs. Parker"that the reason he choose Peter and MJ was that theirs was an unconditional love, "holy in the eyes of him that I hate the most" to deny him of this marriage is such an unimaginable victory, consider his(Peter's) identity forgotten.

Ahh crazy. Thanks. I must have erased it from my mind.
Thanks for the back-up. Not sure if you had that info memorized or if you had to go back to it. If you had to go back to it, thanks for taking one for the team!
Aloha,
I have a fan fiction regarding what happened to the organic webbing, based in part upon The Other story line. I base my premise upon what transpired between Dr. Strange and Spidey during that period. I quote Doc Strange verbatim.I'm very excited about the new reveal. I posted on another Spider-Man thread the fact that we don't hear the moaning from fans anymore. Gee-the stories are good. Some fans have a love hate relationship with these boards. If they can't hate-they have nothing to talk about. If they love-they're silent.Oh well. Looking forward to the big reveal. I'm sure-they'll leave us hanging on somethings-just to string us along for a little while longer.

That's kinda how I feel, I've lost any real feeling for the character for the moment. Tried a bunch of these BND stories and they've just felt like rehashes with a glossy finish of something resembling a new or more creative direction. Either coming up with direct knock of characters, or just slight tweeks to the same old storylines. I really thought part of BND was to give us something actually new, but say what you will about JMS you actually saw new concepts, dynamics and stories being introduced (loved the idea of Peter being a teacher). Some were good some were bad but it wasn't the exact same spider-man story being told just with different art.
Am I excited for OMIT? Not at all, couldn't care about it anymore. Way I figure, just like in the clone saga I'll wait it out till they have to make this interesting again and then I'll jump back on board.
When I'd talk comics I used to say I loved spider-man, then after OMD I was pretty vocal about how it needs to be changed, now I just say it's treading water and pretty much sucks. That's about how I feel.
Joey Q was smart to write this himself though. Better to keep as much animosity about all this directed at him then any individual writer. But you know this is gonna suck, only a few artists can actually write decent stories and he ain't on that list.
MD- yeah, the school teacher job was the best part of the Spidey books in years, and they just let it die on the vine! Of course, it could be worse....you could be Paul or Jill Stacy, who are less loved than Kaine! We've seen Kaine in the past year, but Paul and Jill are ghosts. They weren't very memorable characters, but they deserved better than that.
I'll also add one more thing: I MIGHT be inclined to try ASM out regularly again, if it wasn't for the fact that it would cost me between 9 and 12 dollars a month thanks to the ASMx3 schedule...which they started to do away with multiple titles...then they started Web and Peter Parker...what?!?!
Yep... people say that we've been reading "rehashed stories", but we've been getting a semblance of "rehashed stories" since the 70's... personally, I like the current tales, and yes, I cab see some semblance in some stories to older ones, but I saw the same thing ine th 80's and ESPECIALLY in the 90's, so why is it such a big deal NOW?
Just my two cents...
