Is anyone just sick of Wolverine?

Sage's powers could've just worked the same on the Skrull as it would have on the real Beast. 'Cause, y'know, genes.

It is like, X-23 has a very good, in-character reason for having zero personality besides hacking stuff and grumbling. That doesn't mean I have to like the character, though. Having a reason for something that is annoying doesn't mean I can't call it as annoying. Same as for Iron Man's appearances. I don't give a damn if he becomes The One Above All. Showing up 15+ times a month is annoying, and apparently only Wolverine gets deserved heat for it.

Except Wolverine deserves the heat for it because he has no reason to show up in any of the places he does yet he still does, and Tony doesn't deserve said heat cause he's been put in a role that makes him deeply involved in the MU's major goings-on.

Also Tony's been showing up more since like last february? Whereas Wolverine's been doing the same thing for fifteen years.

These are not-insubstantial contributing factors for why people would be more likely to be annoyed with Wolverine than with Tony.

She's off with Claremont's All-New, All-Irrelevant Exiles now, so no one cares.

Then you won't be able to complain 'cause he'll have reasonable cause for showing up everywhere. It's Joe Q's way of personally ****ting in your Corn Flakes.

Didn't Logan go through some major ninja training? It seems writers tend to forget that, and making Wolverine's fighting strategy consist of running wildly into a hail of bullets, his claws swinging, screaming "RYARGH" or something to that effect.

Yeah but considering Wolverine's basically limitless regenerative ability, running wildly into a hail of bullets and screaming "RYARGH" is an entirely valid fighting style.

Eventually they'll have him leading SHIELD, the X-Men, the Avengers, the New Warriors, the Defenders, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. All while being a hostile antisocial loner who plays by his own rules.

Reading Part 1 of the Fantastic 4 World's Finest arch and even Sue Storm had a knock on Wolverine, saying in regards to getting a Nanny for the kids.

"I'll ask Wolverine, he seems to be in every other team these days"

So even Marvel is knocking itself on Wolverine's overexposure. lol

Yeah, there are always a couple writers who'll poke fun at some of Marvel's more ridiculous aspects. Dan Slott is known for it.

You forgot that he'll become drinking buddies with the Celestials and from time to time show up to play a friendly card game with Galactus and God. :)

On a serious note, ever since I was a kid I've been a wolvie fan boy; it got to such a point that my mom knew who he was and would wince when he'd be beaten up in the 90's show or movie. I really loved how he was written in get Mystique; he came off a lot more human. I loved his speech about pain it made you really think about all the crap he goes through on a daily basis.

One thing I constantly whine about is his fighting, early in his third volume arc (the more realistic one) he was looking for a girl that had been taken in by a cult. In one scene while looking for answers, the girl's dad and a bunch of truckers try to beat him up, but he easily dispatches them with martial arts skill and never pops his claws. I'd LOVE to see more of a balance between his claw swipes and actual martial arts skill. It's constantly boasted that he knows various martial arts skills from military ones to ninja and samurai skills. He should fight in a more fluid style or at least change it up at times. But that's just my $0.02 and pocket lint. :woot:

I'm kind of embarrased to admit this but I named my second son Logan after Wolverine, after naming my first son after myself. My wife wasn't too pleased but I talked her into it.

So yes, I am a Wolverine uber nerd and even I think he is overexposed.

Logan is a nice name though. You can always pick up a comic and tell your son the comic was named after him :o

Well Kevin Smith named is daughter Harley after Harley Quinn and Nicholas (Coppola)Cage took the Cage part of his name from Luke Cage. He also named his son Kal-El being a Superman fan so Logan is pretty normal compared to that.

I wonder how many people have Logan as a first name though, it doesn't seem to common.

I know a guy named Logan, pretty cool fella, though he's nothing like ol' canuckle head; though he's canadian, he's tall and blonde thus REVERSAL!

Fact: *****es love dudes with last names for first names.

If Sex and the City teaches us anything*, it is this.

*Whether Sex and the City does in fact teach us anything is left as an exercise for the reader.

I have never seen an episode of Sex and the City in it's entirety.

Wasn't one of the chicks in Sex and the City banging a dude named "Mr. Big"? I don't think we can trust them when it comes to names...

Mr. Big was Detective Logan from Law and Order.

fanboys *****ing about wolverine.....never

yes wolverine is over exposed there is no argument with that, but i defy anyone to say when he is written right he is not one of the top ten comic characters. sadly as many have said marvel seen a cash cow and went to town, and i don't think any of us if in the same situation would have done any different.
