When Incredible Hulk came out it has references to Captain America, including the unused scene of Hulk breaking the ice, releasing Cap. Tony Stark showed up at the end to talk to Gen. Ross. They were connecting movies... my question is has the loss of Edward Norton completely changed all that, and are they just forgetting the movie exists?
Think about it... if this was just a simple change like Rhodey with Don Cheadle instead... does that mean Liv Tyler is going to be in Avengers as Betty Ross? Is William Hurt going to be in Avengers as Gen Ross? What about the "leader" or "leonard"? It wouldn't really make sense to have Hulk in Avengers without some involvement of Betty Ross... but would any of these actors from the Incredible Hulk actually return when their main character has been given to Mark Ruffalo?
My personal preference would be how they treated Iron Man 2 with Cheadle... if Norton is no longer Bruce Banner, and they replaced him fine, but don't cut out the entire cast of characters because of that.
I have a feeling they will just not include any of those characters, cut them out of the script, so they don't have to deal with it... what do you guys think?
