Is it really always bad if you think some races are superior to others?

Take for example when my friends and I play mario kart I tend to like the toad harbour map most of all.

What about you? Does anyone else enjoy a particular kind of racing?

There was one I played when I was a kid on the NES but I can't remember the name of it. Another (again, name lost to time) I'd play on the Playstation that was water-based. Instead of boats I think it was like a jetski.
