Or is that mixing oil (Punisher) with water (kid friendly movie)?

I'm not sure we'll see Bernthal's Punisher show up in the movies. I think he will get his own Netflix series though

We already had a thread for this. But long story short, I don't think any of the TV heroes will be appearing in this film.

They already are juggling way too many heroes.

Im interested to see how great Punishers combat skills are in the MCU.

I wouldn't rule out a surprise shock cameo from Matt Murdoch, but that alone would be pushing it.
I had no idea that Falcon was gonna be in Ant Man until the very last minute.

The great thing is, they can do whatever they want now. If they feel like putting DD, Punisher, Ghost Rider or Blade in a new MCU movie, its all good. With Ghost Rider they dont even need to cast the real actor at first. They could just have him appear like Thanos did in A1 then get a new actor to play him later.

I believe Fiege has stated that the movies and shows are on completely different schedules and departments, so coordinating is difficult. The movies are kind of big machines with a lot of moving parts while tv is much more nimble. So it's easy for the tv to work around the movies. That being said I think it's likely that DD or someone will be mentioned, but I can also see those scenes or references getting cut.

You also have to remember that DD season 1 premiered not that long before production started on CW. By then the wheels were in motion. I don't see any chance of Punisher in CW, the timing just doesn't work.

As for whether Punisher can work in a kid friendly movie, beyond easter eggs, he's not gonna be in a kid friendly film. each medium of MCU covers a different aspect, the movies are the big public spectacles that makes international news, AoS/AC is the underground, secretive aspects, and Netflix is the dark corners of the world. And those dark corners is where Frank Castle resides.

Now if the Punisher ever did show up in a kid friendly (I would actually describe it as "all audiences") His actions just wouldn't be a brutal as portrayed on say Netflix. MCU has had plenty of violence and killing, it just was never graphic.

The MCU movies kill people all the time so I don't think that'd be the problem. The problem would be that they drew a distinction. The Netflix shows are specifically aimed at a more adult, mature audience, while the movies and ABC shows are aimed at a more all-ages demographic. Marvel doesn't want kids and parents conflating the two. There's a reason you see a bunch of toys and kid apparel for the movies but not so much for Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Specifically, the producers of the Lego Avengers game mentioned that despite using characters and levels from the various MCU movies as well as Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD, they were forbidden from directly tying into any of the Netflix shows.

When do daredevil season 1 & 2 take place respectively in th mcu?

We know DD s1 takes place some time after The Battle of New York. Not sure about S2.

If it's released the same time as it was last year it would be before.
