ok according to wikipedia and some people ive talked to, they say that joly was an autobot in the movie but i dont ever remember seeing him even once, i remember seeing sideswipe and the arcee motorcycles but i dont think i ever saw jolt, wikipedia had a picture of his car form but i couldnt even find a picture of his robot form on google images.

He helped combine Jetfire's part with Optimus Prime. Honestly, he was a waste of a character

I don't even remember what he looked like if that was indeed him in that scene where he helped combine Jetfire with Prime.
*sigh*
I don't give a rat's ass, fanboys may constantly tell the rest of us to read the prequel comics but frankly if it wasn't in the film it doesn't exist in my eyes. In other threads people are saying **** like "it was explained in the prequel comic", well for those of us who just want to watch the movie and expect it to explain the important things...like characters we shouldn't have to follow some tie-in garbage.

I seriously hope more and more films don't go this route so they don't have to include character info/depth in the actual films and can just throw in mindless jokes or action.

YES!

That isn't a good excuse, 90% or more of the audeince haven't and never will read the prequel comics.

The sad thing is that Jolt isn't even in the prequel comics. And regarding Sideswipe, Arcee, Skids and Mudflap, they only show up on the last page of the last issue.

And also, you can watch the movies and not read the comics, and the movie still makes sense as the comics really have nothing to do with the movie.

Plus, in the comics, Fallen is shown inside a tablet, where in the film, he's not.

I think the Comics went with the trapped in another dimension route. It's a much better idea than have him chilling on the spaceship.

It would've been a much better plot if the Movie was about preventing the Decepticons from freeing the Fallen.

Jolt also appears in the scene where the Autobots and NEST are ordered to stand down. He's only seen briefly in the background twice, as the camera pans around Ironhide and Sideswipe. You recognize him by the blue electric sparks in his hands.

I saw him twice in the movie. I was also looking for him the whole time lol

You can make him out in the group when Optimus gets dropped off and he fuses Jetfires parts. He might also be running or gunning in the background during the desert fight. But that's it.

hes in parts of the movie with the group. hes got a blue vehicle mode and is most noticable when nest is talking to the guy at the airport about optimus and what to do with his body and then at the end he helps construct jetfires body onto optimus. woiuld have liked to have seen more prominent roles for jolt arcee and sideswipe tho

I think I remember a guy with electricity in his hands...I'm guessing that was him. but that's all I remember of him...I didn't even know his name was Jolt.

*Sigh* Just reading his character bio gets me thinking how Jolt and Sideswipe would have been way better to watch on screen than the Twins. What a waste.

Deluxe Jolt Bio

Jolt loves to cause trouble, more than one group of Decepticons has watched in confusion as Jolt, all alone, raced around them in circles, taunting them. They're not used to Autobots acting crazy. Little do they know that it really is just an act - part of a plan to lure his enemies in close where he can deliver a crippling blow with his electro-whips.

I get the feeling that maybe Sideswipe and Jolt had a bigger role originally, but got "sideswiped" by Bay so he'd be able to include his great creations Skids and Mudflap.

I was angry that he just showed up without a name or explanation at the final battle. It was lame.

I agree with craig or maybe some of his parts were deleted in editing maybe?

I'm hoping for that to be the case.

Do you think they have deleted scenes with Jolt? Because rendering is pretty expensive so I would imagine they'd want to put as much robot footage they have for the theatrical version.

What puzzles me even more is how crucial Jolts ability was towards the end yet he doesn't get a formal introduction or anything of the kind.

They had to have said his name. I mean for god sakes he didn't even have a line in the movie:(

Did at least Ratchet say his name when he told him what to do? I'm not sure anymore.

I'm pretty sure Ratchet said "Jolt, make a connection!" or something when they were fitting Jetfire's parts on Optimus.

Jolt is on the left

I really liked his robot design, but damn that Volt car is freaking ugly. Anyway, his electrical whips sound cool. I wish they had used him in a fight.
I hope we see more of him in the sequel, and some med work from Ratchet while they re at it.

EDIT: Someone has got a screener i see...

maybe hes in it a little more in the imax version because i heard that has a couple extra scenes

If you blink you'll miss him. He is is the blue Prius (I think), and is in the shot where Optimus' body is dropped at the hangar, and is the blue autobot that charges Jetfire's spark into Optimus near the end.
