I got the one disk DVD, with a trailer on it and thats all, it cost me £6 pound, but ive seen the 2 disc one for £8 now, and i was wondering whats on the 2 disc features wise and if its worth getting?

When if BB SE DVD with mini comic book came out I got it £17.99 at HMV

Theatrical Trailer
Inner Demons Comic
Batman The Journey Begins
Shaping Mind And Body
Batman The Tumbler
Gotham City Rises
Saving Gotham City
Genesis Of The Bat
Confidential Files

There is the lack of a commentary, Dammit Nolan.

Good stuff tho so buy it.

It didn't come with the MTV Award spoof with Jimmy Falon? The 2 disc set got that on the first disc.... I'm surprised the single disc didn't get it.

Of course it's worth getting. When I bought it, it was the same price as the single disc. $19.99 for a single or a two disc set with a small comic book in it. If you look around, I'm sure you'll find it for a cheaper price than I paid for.

I got it for my birthday year it came out, would have gotten it anyway, the extras are good material :)

8 pounds sounds like a good deal. You should definitely pick it up, there's some really cool special features on there, although it lacks commentary. The only thing that will be missing is the limited edition comic that came with the 2-disc when it was released in '05.

If not for the SE DVD, I would not have been able to build this:

no frickin way...what did you use to build it? is it like a go kart? or is it like a car? is it legal to drive on the streets? does it get you chicks? if i was a chick i'd ride with a guy who had a tumbler. now i want a tumbler. holy balls. you have to tell me how you did that!

It is scratch built by me. steel, epoxy resin reinforced with kevlar, carbon. not a go-cart. still working on it, but to be extremly close to real deal. http://www.dullam-causey.com
for my own collection.

No, the special features are rather sparse. The menu layout of the special features disc is the worst I have ever seen.

The torso you posted above is foam latex. injected and baked exactly as you see on the SE DVD. it was sculpted on my bodycast, which you see here also. I followed the same process, same procedure, even have the same equipment. only one difference is that to extract the water from the foam I just wring it out by hand, and put it back in the oven. could not find a house maids mangler. Wish I did as that would speed up the drying time a bit. Those are so old, like something you might possibly find at a flea market.

Yeah, youngbat's work is awesome.

I highly recommend everyone to check out his stuff.

Have a tough time navigating it? That was the entire point. My guess is that TDK's menu will be even more complicated, given this whole WhySoSerious viral marketing that has gone on. Did you know that at the end of the comic book sequence of BB's menu, it has all the features in a list so that you can easily select them? I'm not sure if everyone knows about it, but it's really a quick way to get to the features without having to hunt on each comic book page to find them. :yay:

Yep, it is defiently worth getting. The only thing I really wish they would have done is put some Director's commentary in there but the special features are really fun and interesting to watch.

Makes me wonder what the Dark Knight special edition will be like...heh.

Single and double must be in a close range of cost now, so there's no matter in paying a few more bucks to have the complete edition. The second disc is interesting.

You know I was just about to post about HMV selling it that cheap, since I found out on their site HMV.co.uk and bought it for £4.99+Free Delivery only a few hours ago, HA £00.01 cheaper than buying in-store, shiny.

You really should by the 2 disc one it has loads of really interesting documentaries of the making of and about the comics

I found the two disc set rather disappointing. Especially with crap like the Jimmy Fallon skit on it.

I mean you want the widescreen version of the movie on DVD and all, but I didn't like the format of the DVD menus on the extras disc, with a lame comic story around the hidden features. I like just simple menu selection on DVD's.

No audio commentary either. I think it would've been cool if we got to hear from Bale and Nolan, but this was apparently what Nolan wanted for the DVD.

I honestly wouldn't mind an improved DVD release for the first movie.

Too be honest, the 2-Disc was a bit... Meh...

Couple of the special features were cool, but like everyone said, the layout was horrific...

Also... I want a tumbler now as well...
