is the budget good enough to make an epic DB

I thought hellboy was an okay movie.

I personally like Guillermo films more when he makes them in his native language i.e. spanish.

I like hellboy 1 but it's a little too restrained, the villains are cardboard cutouts twirling mustache types, the cgi's pretty wonky in places... hellboy 2 should fix all that.

Ok I never thought i would say this but I watched DOA today and it is actually a pretty good flick.

Maybe because I had no expectations from it so I liked it. I mean the acting and story is 100% crap but the action sequences are pretty damn well done and the girls are smokin hot.

I hope action wise it is similar to DOA atleast. LOL

Don't you guys find it a bit sad that street fighter started shooting after dragonball finished its shooting yet fox set the release date before Dragonball's i.e. February 27th 2009.

You see if street fighter sucks then since dragonball is similar in nature action wise it may suffer because people might say it is from the same studio that brought street fighter a month and a half and that looked really good but sucked.

I hope both turn out to be solid flicks though hopefully Dragonball is much better. The director of Street Fighter has one good flick on his resume, which is Romeo must Die.

Meet me then. I never saw or heard of Hellboy prior to the film, but saw it in theaters and bought it on DVD I loved the film so much. In fact, I even re-purchased it in Blu-Ray.

And Hellboy has an 80% Rotten tomatoes rating from Critics, an 89% from top critics, and a 76% from users. It also spawned a sequel and two animated feature. Oh yeah, total suckfest.

i don't know how you get off telling people that they like crappy movies, but i'm gonna guess it's because they called you out on people not liking Hellboy and you felt the need to retaliate.

as for DOA being good.....i don't remember anyone saying that. i know a few people have said that they enjoyed DOA for what it was, but that doesn't necessarily mean they thought it was a good movie.

once again...no one here is praising DOA so i don't know where you get that from. as for Hellboy, as JP said...it's been pretty successful. that means people obviously like it. however, Hellboy had the advantage of a visionary director behind it. DB has all kinds of disadvantages (as well as some advantages) effecting the production.

Don't patronize us. You don't have the objective, know-all standpoint on determining a good film from a bad one. Hellboy certainly was a great film IMO and in the opinions of plenty others, including the 80% or so that it has on RT.

76% from users?, probably those who liked it. Internet polls are not always correct. Maybe hellboy was loved there in the USA but nobody liked it down here, and I would bet to add all Latin America as well.

I really enjoyed watching Hellboy. You don't know what's going to happen in the movie, just like Transformers for me. I never watched the cartoon or read any of the comics before I saw it in theatres, and in turned out to be one of the best action movies ever!

It is not a fact. It is your opinion. Unfortunately for you, you're in the minority and very few agree with you. We've given evidence for why it was a great film and shown that the vast majority of people loved it, yet all you've done is called it boring and dumb.
