Ehh, I disagree but to each his own. Personal, I don't mind the quips at all since they are in the comics, but they aren't 100% needed, IMO. It's possible that quips could take the audience out of the action sequences, but we'll see.

Of course they can't quips on every action scene because this is a movie. I expect to get a lot of guipping when Spidey takes out some robbers and that kind of stuff, but when it comes to the lizard which is a dramatic scary villain, I think they will be very careful with quippage

I think so too. I hope there will be a nice balance.

I guess I'm the only one who had no problem with the amount of quips in Raimi's films, lol.

Even though I wish for a lot of character development, I wish that this still wont be too character driven. It should still have some jaw dropping action scenes.
This might be the best way to say what I want:
I want an action movie with drama and interesting story instead of a drama movie with action

We are very lucky to have Lizard as villain b/c it will soo tense for GA. Lizard always has a reallly good storyline. I am pretty sure that.... this is an action movie with drama and interesting story.

Yeah. Gotta love Lizard, one of my favourite villains!

Certainly one of the best looking Spidey villains!

But will he be as believable on screen as the original Predator or Alien movie creatures?

Don't know, but I still have a lot of faith on the Lizard, I'm sure they wouldn't give us fans our favorite villain without working on it a lot

Whenever a character is CG based, from now on, it should be a no-brainer to use Camerons E-motion capture method. The emotions and overall look of the Avatars/Navi's in his movie was so incredible! I heard they were going for that with the new live ninja turtles movie, as well! The Lizard would be part practicle I heard, and that's cool. But when he's not, they should follow in the path of James Camerons method.

Shooting in L.A. and New York is hella expensive, even with tax credits, a shorter shooting schedule and a smaller budget. There's no way this reboot will be around $80M, it'll be $30-$50M more than that.

Now, if Sony really wanted to make this reboot for $80M, they'd do exterior shoots in New York and Los Angeles and shoot interior/green screen in Romania or Bulgaria.

it probably depends on how you break it down...

the filming it self might of cost only $80M, but, then you have casting, marketing, other fee's....ect, that could account for the rest
