We haven't heard anything about what the boys down at Treyarch are doing in regards to the next Spider-Man game, and it's pretty obviouse to me that it's going to be the game adapation of Spider-Man 3. I haven't heard anything in regards to what they've been doing post-Ultimate Spider-Man, but would it be that far-fetched to speculate that Spider-Man 3 might already be in developement for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3? I would certainly hope so, if they want to give the game the developement time it's going to need to not be a [email protected]$$ed rush-job. I don't want to see them wait until six-months from when the movie comes out and then just slap it together as fast as they can, especially since they're probably going to be working in new territory on next-gen systems. I really hope that this time Activision is getting more involved with the process, and tries to keep good communication between Treyarch and the creative forces working on the film. They should try and make it feel as authentic to the movie as possible, the way EA did with the Lord of the Rings games and Ubi-Soft did with King Kong. Why should Spider-Man 3 simply be "a decent tie-in", when it can be a legitimately awesome game? I hope that Activision and Treyarch pours their heart and soul into making SM3 one of the best movie tie-in games since Goldeneye!
