There once was a really funny Youtube show called Game Grumps by two guys named Egoraptor and JonTron, well Jontron went to Twitter to comment on everyone's saying lately that the gaming community is dead and everyone is arguing about if there's sexism in video games (which in my opinion, there isn't).

Jontron eventually left Game Grumps (dumb mistake) and after what he said on Twitter it confirms for me why I always liked Egoraptor better than him.

Seriously, dude? Just goes to show how far JonTron's career has sunk since his departure from Game Grumps, in my opinion was one of the funniest Youtube shows period.

Anyway, I don't think the gaming community is dead, just think it's taking a break after the new console releases and the lackluster response to the new gen consoles/games. What do you think?

He's talking about the general attitude of the gaming community, esp with gamergate which has been polarizing and fascinating at the same time.

I think there's women trying to gain a voice in the community, some fair..some self-righteous. BUt you also have the other extreme where folks are trying to enforce the boys club status quo. It shouldn't be like this.

I think some of the fair-minded folks are too defensive when being grouped with the jerks. I mean, at least acknowledge that there's a weird backlash going on.

JonTron is a sexist, racist, homophobe and a dummy.

agreed hes not speaking of games in general just the moronic backlash thats been happening recently

you know the usual where somewhere a woman gives an opinion on gaming so the bro mentally must attack her with rape and death threats otherwise someone someone must take away the cod games

He's supporting one of the most radical feminists in history (arguably the Adolf Hitler of feminism) and everyone applauds him. Right.

Oh wow, way to Godwin your argument, bro. :whatever:

If you think Anita Sarkeesian is one of the most radical feminists in history, then you clearly don't know anything about feminism or history. Feminists who advocate for an all-female separatist lesbian state and shoot Andy Warhol are radical. Anita Sarkeesian is not a radical.

I wasn't referring to Anita Sarkeesian, I meant the person JonTron mentioned in his tweet. Anita looks like Glenn Beck in comparison!

I'm sorry, I misinterpreted the information.

But my point still stands. Namio Harukawa wasn't that radical of a feminist. All he did was paint femdom erotica. That's not special. And certainly not worthy of comparisons to Hitler.

Destiny's record one day sale numbers says no.

He literally believed men should be oppressed and degraded by women. Sorry, but the similarities between his set of beliefs and Nazism are undeniable, it's just that they hated different groups for different reasons.

1: All I've been able to find about the guy are his paintings and a tiny bio on wikipedia about the fact that he made paintings. I haven't found any writings by the guy or any kind of wackadoo manifesto, just the paintings. I might be wrong about this, and if I am please correct me, but I see no indication that he was any kind of radical feminist revolutionary with any kind of world view he wanted to impose on other people. He just seems to me like a guy with a femdom fetish.

2: The similarities between his (alleged) beliefs and Nazim are pretty deniable. Even if he did think that the world would be better off if all men were dominated by women (which I have found no evidence of), that's a far cry from fascist governments, wars of conquest, and genocide. That is, at best a little weird and not applicable to all relationships.

Put it another way: Hitler killed eleven million people. Namio Harukawa did not.

There's no sexism anywhere, because men have said so. :p

lmao if that's radical feminism to you, then you silly bruh :hubba

Jontron is awesome. But not the best at communicating by any means.

To answer your question, of course not.

Valerie Solanis was a human being who existed, and yet there's someone who thinks that old femdom erotica is the height of aggressively radical feminism? Gimme a break.

Seriously we've already used Godwin's law and it's not even a page yet:wow:

It probably had something to do with this. :oldrazz:
