The other day I noticed that there was a news article about someone's pet snake who bit a toddler. People were acting like this was the world's biggest tragedy and such, obviously it's not good. But has anyone realized that children and hundreds of times more likely to be attacked and killed by the family dog?
No, because no one would ever want to depict dog's in a bad light. But the facts are that dogs are statistically one of the most dangerous animals in the world. Besides, if you think that snakes are family animals and are supposed to be interacting with children you're an idiot. The parents are the one's who are ultimately responsible, snakes aren't domesticated animals.

I think the Boogeyman gets it worse than snakes.

dats what theys gets for tricking Eve.

I had no clue that you could remove their venom glands. That can't be good for the snake, especially considering that they use their venom glands to um hunt.

Seems like the snake wouldn't be able to eat without it's fangs. Or maybe the kids immortal.

either way it's creepy to watch

I hope it's fake, because even if they've taken out the fangs it can still secrete venom. The only way to get rid of those would be to to surgery on the snake.

Many snake charmers remove the fangs or the venom sacs from their snakes, because it is too dangerous. This practice is illegal, and is considered inhumane to the snake.

Cobras don't always inject venom when they bite something. They can do a "dry bite" if they want to.

Yes, I would have mentioned dry bites but I'd think that the snake would bite after that many bluffs fail. I'm assuming those snake handlers inject food directly into the snakes stomach?

im sure they can eat without venomous fangs. dont they swallow food whole? i cant remember if they use their fangs to shove it down their throat though

That is the best video I've seen in a while.
Why is that ass**** baby messing with the poor snake? Getting in it's face, invading it's space.
The cobra was so patient. :(

Snake venom works a lot like a spider's, it helps digest the target before the snake even starts eating it. That and it's in the snakes instincts to bite on it's prey even when it doesn't have to. When I worked in the reptile department of a zoo they'd inject venom into the already dead snakes.

I'm amazed that snake never actually bit that kid.

why are people videotaping it?

for what reason?

for what reason?

Two reasons,

  • We heat the dead nice up to trick the snakes into thinking that they're alive.
  • Snake needs the venom to partial digest the food.

Indiana Jones hates snakes, so they must be evil. :p
