Is there sequel planned for TMNT?

Imagi has other projects on its plate.(AstroBoy , Gatchaman) I didnt like TMNT at all so,.meh

I once heard maybe. But it's doubtful since TMNT made less than 100 million in America.

I think it was like 70-30 leaning toward a sequel last summer, but I haven't heard anything since then, which probably isn't a good sign.

I sure hope so...I finally got around to watching it and I LOVED it.

They'll most likely do it after the director is done with his next project. It also depends on if the compnays next two films do well as well.

There better be, the first one was great

Especially since they allude to a return from Shredder

They should go with a Life-Action CGI Hyprid like Avatar and Tintin.

I doubt. By the way, I finally got around to watching this one about 3 weeks ago, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I guess this was one of those cases where I didn't agree with the critics.

found this through google

TMNT 2
Never say Never, but last I heard, Warner Bros are abandoning their plans to do a sequel to last year’s “Ninja Turtles” restart. The plan originally, was to do a further two films – the next would’ve seen the heroes in hardshells taking on old foe, Shredder – in the series. Some initial work had even begun on the next sequel. After the lacklustre performance of “TMNT” though, the studio put the sequels on indefinite hold.

With enough box-office draw for Kevin's "Gatchaman", I'm sure his desire to make a sequel with be fulfilled.

I sincerely hope a sequel is made. I loved the first one and I would love for them to go into a much darker direction with Shredder returning.

Anyone think that the animated series episode "Same as it never was" would make a great adaptation? I'd love to see that done with the third film as it's one of the darker more emotional TMNT episodes.

I hope there's a sequel, I liked all the implications of Shredder in the first one, in made him seem like an evil mastermind of mythical proportions

I don't see how it did "lackluster," it made well over its cost.

Of course it didn't make $100 mill, these guys have been out of commission for over a decade.

$50 mill + domestically and close to $100 mill wolrdwide is pretty good for a $34 million movie.

I think their expectations were just really high...and personally can you blame them?

TMNT is a proven franchise with an established fanbase and it was a CGI film--9 times out of 10, films like these are a guaranteed blockbuster...

I too was very disappointed at how little it made. I really expected it to be a SMASH hit...

It couldn't even break 100 mil.

I sincerely hope there's a sequel. I absolutely loved the first, far more than the live action films.
