I got a flyer in the mail say $79.99 for TV/Internet/Phone right?

So I went to online right away, +$10 for 50/25 upgrade I expected $89.99 but it actually came out like $110. I add NOTHING other than the $10 50/25 upgrade. Liars!!!

And, how much you guys pay for the 50/25 standalone w/o TV/Phone? Thought it was just $60 but guess how much I am paying?

It's Verizon Fios huh? My old landlord had them for a while in a place I used to live in and he switched back to the old cable company after a while since the price was always high

Well let's see, most times they don't add any rental fees in those prices so let's say it's $5 for the internet and cable modem each, that's $90. There's also bundle discounts they add in whether you can get them or not and that's usually another $10-$15, so $105. Then you can get contract discounts so $10 off of each. I'd say you'd pay around $140 altogether before discounts, if they apply to you.

With discounts you'd have the $90 + rental fees $10-$20 + installation fees (ranging from free to $100) + shipping fees if you want it faster.

I did tech/billing/retention for Bell Canada for a few years. I'm used to those tricks.

Jennifer Lawrence uses Verizon and says it is, and i quote; "like, totally awesome! haha look at me i'm so real!"

SuperJediHero will pay all of the termination fees if it turns out J Law has Sprint.

You know, that last few posts reminded me of a watered down version of what SHH use to be like. :sigh:

Taxes, fees, and surcharges.

Unfortunatly that's how a lot of those ads get you. They advertise a really low price for 1 piece of the whole, but adding in installation, maintenance, service charges, taxes, etc it is usually a lot higher.

You also have to watch out for that with home renovations. If you get a quote, be prepared to pay twice the original estimate (and don't go with the lowest quote).

In other words, do your homework before you buy. Check the company out. The tools are at your disposal - search "Is verizon any good" or "Can you trust verizon" or various other strings with skeptical phrasing.
