Is watchmen starting to get more attention?

Obviously Watchmen is going to get more attention with Snyder's success, and with the trailer supposedly airing with Dark knight. But has anyone noticed any casual references very recently?

That's right! I forgot about that, nice find.


One I know, whose picture I can't find is Pirates of Coney Island, when they pass a wall with "Who watches the Watchmen" painted on it.

The Watchmen has grown to almost cult status. It's obviously an excellent story that comic characters can reference without fear of destroying continuity and an excellent title that many comic book collecters and readers would suggest for up-and-coming comic book geeks.

I can definitely see this happening. The only thing I don't like about it is people are gonna start wearing the bloody smiley face, having no idea what it means

Yea it really sucks when I see people wearing shirts with symbols that actually mean something to me and they just think it looks cool. This happen at my school once so I threw the guy through a door.




Don't worry he was jerk and it was a Martian Manhunter shirt.

Comic books in general are becoming the mainstream for hollywood the fan base is there the story is there most of the work is done for them. I would say it's a trend, A few years ago it was WWII movies, then native American movies, then base ball movies. The 70's it was a ton of westerns. I guess superhero films are now at the top of the hill. For how long who knows there are endless story's to be told so the well wont run dry for a while.
