Please Read My Ice Cream Zombies Idea and tell me what you think!

An ice cream man who has a rare limited edition ice cream truck used to love his job now hates every aspect of it. After accidently running over someone, he decides to hide the body. He decides to put the body parts in ice cream and sell them to people but as soon as he puts them in the ice cream he comes back to life and turns into an ice cream zombie. Like movies he has seen before he knows he has to find its weakness. He goes to a witch to try and find a cure for the virus, she gives him a special spray that repels the zombies from him. While this is happening the zombie steals an ice cream truck and sells infected ice cream, spreading the virus. After returning home, he realises the town has been taken over by the ice cream zombies and the only vehicles on the roads are ice cream trucks which are obviously infected. He realises the tunes from the ice cream trucks are different than the one he has due to it being limited edition and rare and when he plays the one he has it attracts the zombies. He decides that it is a good idea to make the zombies chase the truck which he will then drive off a cliff. He drives the truck off a cliff and all the zombies fall off the cliff. From the top of the cliff all seems good but all of a sudden a zombie climbs up the cliff and pulls the ice cream man down. It seems that the ice cream has actually mutated the zombies and made them stronger. He climbs the cliff and goes back to the witch, she is not there but there is a trail of zombie blood and guts on the floor so we assume she has been infected. He grabs the zombie repellent spray though and he sees one of the ingredients is chilli. He steals the witch’s car and drives back to the main town where he goes into a closed supermarket, barricades the doors and fills up water guns with chilli sauce. He runs outside and starts firing at all the zombies. He runs out of ammo and before he can reload a zombie takes him down but then the witch comes back in a taco truck and says something like “***** please” and uses a machine gun type weapon from inside the truck to blast the zombies with hot sauce at super high pressure. All the zombies are defeated. He cleans uses the other ice cream trucks to put the zombies inside and drives them all off the cliff. He then changes his job to a taco truck man, a year passes and he hates his job again and he runs over someone again and the final line of the movie is “not this **** again!”

That's a heavy list sir.

I noticed you've watched Sinbad. It's about time we got another good movie from him.

I guess it's that time. Here's the list of films I watched this May.

What About Bob?
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
Avengers: Age of Ultron
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
Furious 7
Lethal Weapon
Mad Max: Fury Road
Signs
Fargo
Cinderella Man
WarGames
Point Break
Stand by Me
The Lost World: Jurassic Park

The best one hands down was Cuckoo's Nest. Holy s***, that film was beyond incredible.

Thanks. Unless I'm doing a theme, I try to put a variety in there.

The 2 Sinbad movies I watched this month are far from the best of the lot.

SINBAD OF THE SEVEN SEAS with Lou Ferrigno is one of the worst movies made. I love Lou, I love Sinbad....but this was bad. I have it because I collect that kind of thing. That is really the only reason to possess it. A modern day woman is telling her daughter the story.....so almost every minute of it has the mother narrating it.

SINBAD THE SAILOR is a better. The main things in it's favor is Maureen O'Hara (I've always loved her) and Anthony Quinn. Douglas Fairbanks Jr. has always been a decent actor, but in this....he over acts shamelessly. It's like he is giving a silent film performance with the over exagerations and arm waving.

I would love to see a new serious Sinbad movie.

Here is a list of the Sinbad movies I have on DVD;

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958) Kerwin Mathews
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973) John Phillip Law
Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977) Patrick Wayne
Sinbad of the Seven Seas (1989) Lou Ferrigno
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003) (animated) Brad Pitt
Son of Sinbad (1955) Dale robertson
Captain Sindbad (1963) Guy Williams
Sinbad: Beyond the Veil of Mists (2000) (animated) Brendan Fraser
The Magic Voyage of Sinbad (1953) Sergei Stolyarov
Sinbad, the Sailor (1947) Douglas Fairbanks Jr.

In the last few years there have been several Sinbad projects I have not got to see;

Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage (2014) Shahin Sean Solimon
Sinbad (2012) 1 season TV series
Sinbad and the Minotaur (2011) Manu Bennett

You watch movies like I read books, lol. My book list for this year is just as long. :p

Yep.....that's one extraordinary movie.

Yeah, I watched that and What About Bob? in my psychology class. What About Bob? was hilarious and had some awesome performances of Dreyfuss and Murray. I can't believe I honestly never heard of that film until I watched it.

This year I started re-reading my Doc Savage books (I'm on #15)....I mainly read on them only in the car while waiting for my wife or daughter to get done with something, or I might be considerably higher on the list. :woot:

I've been blowing through a book every one or two days. I'm lucky that I can sneak them in while I am at work. :) Helps to pass the time.

Was the Doc Savage movie any good? I found out about it recently.

Nope. It was very very bad. Only really decent thing about it was the picking of Ron Ely to play Doc. He looked the part very well.

That being said....there is a "fanedit" of the film by a guy using the name slark. He improved the movie 100%. It is now a fairly decent film that is not an embarrassment to Doc Fans. I am proud to say that I helped him with suggestions while he was making it. He removed about 25 minutes of campy stupid humor. He reworked some special effects shots. He removed a lot of the campy goofy music and replaced it with appropriate music. He also created a brand new opening for it....he created a 30's style newsreel talking about the characters to introduce them using deleted scenes, behind the scene pics, and scenes from some 30's movies to give the proper feel (he made the newsreel in black and white with scratches on the film....and when it ends the screen expands to widescreen in color and the movie starts).

So they made a junk movie then to try and make money off of fans? Good thing that never happens these days. :whatever:

The way the story goes....the producer, George Pal, had good intentions. He got a decent director, Michael Anderson (LOGAN'S RUN, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, THE DAM BUSTERS) and picked Ron Ely to play Doc (he had had a decent run on TV as TARZAN a few year earlier). But then WARNERS had a change in management...the new guy in charge either dropped projects completely or slashed the budgets of a lot of stuff his predecessor had greenlit. Doc was now being made for a TV movie budget...and unfortuantly it showed. It looked cheap and rushed. That's one of the crazy things about the fanedit....a guy at home on his computer put better FX into a feature film than the studio did.

Well he also had a what? 30 year technology boost to help him? :p

If you had seen the original plane explosion they used....you would say the faneditor had a 60 year boost....because it was pathetic. They went cheap on everything. Part of the storyline was Doc finding a giant hidden Mayan city in the jungles of Central America....so they got a couple dozen people, painted them brown, put them in loin cloths, and had them wander around a junglefied backlot in Hollywood (in one shot, you can actually see that one of the jungle bushes is in a pot).

I can't believe this season of GoT is almost done. After tonight's episode, it feels like they're heading into the endgame.

All the seasons have gone by way too fast, lol. Soon it's back to waiting. :(

Maybe we'll get The Winds of Winter in the interim. :)

Anyone else read the Dresden Files books? I've read them a lot and found I patterned my writing style after them when writing certain types of stories. :p

Decades ago, I read like you do squeek......I read a book every couple days. I read everything that dozens of writers wrote (sci fi, western, detective....).

Its good to mix it up. If you only read one thing it gets terribly boring. :) I like to throw in some historical fiction now and again.
