Huh, sometimes the weirdest things set the crazy ones off. I can honestly say I never expected that to be something she would flip out about. I always took her as kind of liberal/progressive.

I can say I will miss her completely random long ass post complaining about various aspects of her life and then never listening to the sane advice we give her :o

It seems like a lot of people are getting banned lately. That's why I don't visit certain threads on this site. Not that I can't express my opinions in a respectful way, but because I KNOW here on SHH some people aren't gonna like my opinions and get all offended and maybe try to call for my banning. So I just keep it to myself. BUT I have noticed some people that make comments and threads that can be considered offensive (meaning they do it in a passive aggressive/ sarcastic way) and they been on the boards for months/ years and haven't gotten the ban hammer. But overall, the site is cool and I like geeking out with everyone over the Super Hero flicks, TV shows, comics, and video games and I don't know of any other message boards dedicated to all things geek like this site.

Dude, the mods aren't going to listen to anyone calling for someone else's ban. The mods go by what the poster posted. Torch defended child molestation in the name of Christianity and has had many close calls before for NOT posting in a respectful way. G2K went nuts about transgender woman not being a real woman and directly called out the mods after Mr. Lee told everyone to be respectful. I too am a Christian (maybe not enough according to some people) but I have no issue between my liberal/progressive mindset and my religion. When it comes down to it, just like history has always taught us, what is extreme and "liberal" one day becomes the norm and eventually the "conservative" viewpoint 50 or 60 years down the road. You can't live life basing your entire mindset on archaic viewpoints that are just not part of this day and time. Much like when the church had to accept the world was not flat or even more recently when the Pope came out and said the existence of aliens wouldn't change anything times change an even the church updates their way of thinking (albeit at a much slower pace than the rest of the world

I wasn't talking about specific people just seems like quite a few people been getting the ban hammer around here late is all. I was also commenting on things I noticed over the years I been a member of the hype. Everyone is entitled to whatever their views are. I was just commenting on the fact that i have to avoid certain threads or really think about what I type here because people will get offended. And I don't make any apologies for what I believe even if it isn't popular by others.

I've noticed the people getting banned usually are either being insulting deliberately or just generally making the entire site miserable.

Yeah the people getting banned have a history of questionable behavior here or were just trolling. As for mods listening to us, thry listen to us in that they will check a member or post out if we make them aware of them but we dont sway their decisions of who gets banned and who doesnt. Thats entirely up to them.

I just love the fact that Jesus one of the most liberal and progressive minds of his time yet he totally wanted everything to stop progressing and stay the way it was on the day that He died for our sins. Makes total sense

Complain about superhero underwear on the Hype like the rest of us?

I've decided I'm going to accessorize all my Marvel and Star Wars outfits with a matching watch. Most of the ones I have found are reasonable but I have to have this one collectors item Stormtrooper watch for when I rock my Trooper gear and it's going to set me back $170! But it will be mine.

On a completely unrelated note having all this extra money from not boozing it up and partying all the time is awesome!

I am not gonna turn this into a religious debate because this isn't the place for it. But I will say God/ Jesus doesn't not shun knowledge or progression. You can accept science and theories and all but if you think it discredits God then that's a different story. But he also didn't say the things God said were sins should be called irrelevant. Jesus didn't judge anyone but he didn't condone sin or tell anyone who followed him it was okay to continue live in sin. Jesus didn't engage in sexual immorality, drunken states, etc. If your a follower of his our job is to love people, tell people about Christ, be in relationship with him, be a good person, and stay way from sin the best we can. Not encourage or support it things in opposition to his word because the world or scientist say other wise.

You must have read a different version of the NT that discussed Jesus' life than I did. Everyone I am familiar with conveniently leaves out just about everything from when he was a child till about 30. Are you familiar with the time child Jesus straight up murdered a kid for bumping into him?

Jesus was provoked and said unto him, "Thou shalt not finish thy course." And immediately he fell down and died.

-- Infancy Gospel of Thomas 4:1

You do understand that the 27 books that make up the modern Bible weren't declared official until about 300 years or so after JC's death right? Or are you familiar with the time that 5 year old Jesus murdered another child for splashing water on him?

"O evil, ungodly, and foolish one, what hurt did the pools and the waters do thee? Behold, now also thou shalt be withered like a tree, and shalt not bear leaves, neither root, nor fruit." And straightway that lad withered up wholly.

-- Infancy Gospel of Thomas 3:2-3

After things like that the local children feared Jesus and basically joined his gang so He wouldn't kill them too and forced other children to come worship him. Eventually the towns people got pretty fed up with his antics and told Joseph he either had to tell Him to start using his powers for good or they needed to leave town and then child Jesus responded thusly:

Jesus said, "I know that these thy words are not thine: nevertheless for thy sake I will hold my peace: but they shall bear their punishment." And straightway they that accused him were smitten with blindness.

-- Infancy Gospel of Thomas 5:1

At that point Joseph decided to discipline Jesus so he "grabbed Jesus' ear and wrung them till they were sore" and it's at that point that Jesus decides to uncurse everybody. Then when Jesus displayed uncanny knowledge at school the teacher frantically ran around town proclaiming He was probably God. So they wee little bit of things your preacher teaches you at church every Sunday are just the tip of the iceberg and if you go around thinking that just because a bunch of guys with agendas and their own interpretations of what God wanted laid down all the knowledge there is to know in the Bible you are sorely mistaken my friend. Those stories are all form the New Testament Apocrypha which is a known Christian text which was excluded due to the perceived message some of these stories may send folks. Now just imagine all the other things that are hidden and locked away in the Vatican or that were lost to time

I don't understand the 'Full House' love. I like Bob Saget, but I honestly think FH is one of the worst shows of all time. It's so sappy it makes the 'Brady Bunch' look like 'South Park.'

Bob is a dirty old man and I absolutely love his stand up. I wish I could have been at some of the shows he did in the 90's when people thought they were going to family friendly show, it would have been priceless

Don't forget he also hosted the G-rated 'America's Funniest Home Videos', so yes, there'd be lots of rubes in the audience.

His stand-up is great. I never got why he went super family-friendly with his TV work. He would have been better suited for SNL or something

DJ. If I remember correctly in that Infancy of Jesus book, Jesus brought them back to life. So no one stayed dead or stayed blind. He cured them of his curse.

I freaking loved AFV when I was a kid. These YouTube spoiled whippersnappers have no idea what it's like to wait a week for the new nutshot videos haha
