Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman wrote Batman & Robin so anything can happen. However I think having Terrio on board will be a good thing.
I think Affleck did polish some things in the script also. This leads me to believe that all he did was a polish and not much plot wise was changed...unless Terrio writes extremely fast.

but the announcement of Terrio happened weeks after he was working on the script.
We can't be sure about that. and I think his job was for polishing aspects and dialogue from the script doing a rewriting. What was the time he was working? 2 months? I think it's the right time IMO.it's still not a long time considering that he has a lot of other stuff on his plate.

Terrio has no other projects, and I imagine he was working from a completed draft of Goyer's script. I also imagine that he has been working on it for a while.

Last time I rely on IMDb.
^ They charge money for IMDBpro, don't they?
He's writing "A Foreigner" for Paramount with Damon directing, he's penning an adaptation of "Tell No One" for WB that Ben may direct, and an untitled thriller for George Clooney.
