BvS It's always Darkest before The Dawn... Chris Terrio IS the Script Writer

For TDK and TDKR i see it this way:

Nolan and Goyer wrote the story together. Then Jonathan Nolan wrote the script and Nolan polished it.

For Batman Begins, Nolan and Goyer came up with the story together, then Nolan wrote the first draft and Goyer finished it. But i´m not really sure.

Yeah and to back on topic. When do you think the script will be finished?
Before or when the production begins?

The script is never finished. Even during the production certain things might change.

It's hard to tell...the script could still be being polished by Terrio...or it could be done and is bouncing along the offices at WB to make sure it's what they want before the actors get it.

True but I think he was refering to finished in terms on the actors. I think maybe right before filming starts.

Even then it's not done...RDJ had Whedon rewriting dialogue on Avengers

George Lucas was rewriting the Star Wars scripts decades after the movies came out.

Funny enough, he got some of the best dialog :oldrazz:

If Goyer's being rewritten by the Argonaut, that's a good thing :yay:

Goyer wrote the better Batman (in terms of characterization and dialog), if that makes anyone feel any better :)

It would be great to know how much from Batman Begins, TDK and TDKR did Goyer actually write. Who wrote the great stuff?
The question applies if you think there is infact any "great stuff" in any of those scripts.

Well, it would be difficult to achieve that kind of critical success without "great stuff".

Yeah. The Joker was just okay.

The whole trilogy is just ok. Nothing special. The problem is that around 90% of the audience is wrong, so we gotta think very carefully before referring to these scripts as "great stuff".

The Joker was more that "just ok." That was a fantastically written and acted character.

Honestly, I've said this before and I'll say this again....no matter how "great" Chris is as a writer, if the story that Goyer and Snyder came up with still leaves much to be desired, then I doubt that there's much that Chris could do to make it better.

I disagree, dialogue and general script polish goes a long way, in any case there is no reason to assume that Terrio will not have story input.

well, he could, you know, rewrite it. :funny:
In fact I have a feeling that's exactly what happened and what caused the delay.

Nope, the audience is not wrong.

I am constantly amused by the anti-Nolan revisionist historians constantly claiming on these boards that TDKT is not great, particularly when it comes from marvel fans.

These movies were in fact solid and well loved by public and critics alike. The second one was not just good, but shockingly good.

As evidence of their greatness, ill point out that several directors have tried to copy Nolan, and all have failed.

90% of the audience is wrong. I'm right because I say so! :DV:

Fanboy logic believing their opinion is fact.
