£145 is paid and I'll have my console on Tuesday. Apparently it's just a straight swap, 60Gb for 60Gb consoles at the door.

It covers hardware faults and accidental damages, plus they bring your replacement within 2 days of reporting. I just got the YLOD on my 2006 60gb model around half an hour ago

I just ordered Rock Band 2 off ebay and reserved a copy of the Wolverine Origins game today too...this freaking sucks...

Question for those of you who have run into this problem: if you have your receipt from your purchase...do you still have to pay the $150 fix fee? I have to wait until Monday to call about this due to their business hours, but I'm impatient...so any help anyone can give is appreciated.

I was able to contact them today...and unfortunately you are correct sir

Good thing i had just backed up most of my files on my thumb drive that day.

This sucks so hard. I never thought this would happen to me...i take really good care of my PS3.

good to hear...I'm still waiting for them to send me the box to send them mine to get them to send me the new/refurbished console *breathes*...and my Rock Band 2 comes in the mail tomorrow

That's insane. I just had a courier come to the door with the replacement console and handed over the broken one. Guess they do it differently over there.
