Yea, a power cut hit my area the other day and now my PS3 has ceased to function. I'm quite depressed. It's almost 2 years to the day that I first cracked it open and started playing Uncharted. Sigh. I've organised a replacement, which will come on the 29th, cost me £130. The worst part is, my copy of Uncharted 2 was in there, and I wont be getting it back for 4-6 weeks after they take my console away. On the plus side, I have had my eye on that limited edition steelbook, so it's all swings and roundabout's I guess. So, here's looking at you, 60gig 2007 X-Mas present, we've had some great times together, and I look forward to meeting your succesor!

:csad:

A friend of mine just got it with his launch 20gb. The thing is, the BC models are a hot commodity, even broken. He was able to sell his for $85.00. He is picking up a refurb. 40gb for $160.

I am a bit worried about my Launch 60g now. My warranty is up in the middle of next year. Maybe I should sell it while the gettings good and buy a slim.

heh, I'll trade you my 1 week old 120 gig slim for your 60 gig :hehe:

My thoughts are with you this festivus Tom.

If it makes any difference, my Dragon Age CE is missing the bonus disc.

So my system is doing something funky. It keeps crashing. It will work for a short time, then just shut off. Sometimes the red light stays on and blinks, sometimes it shuts off completely.
I've looked stuff up, and my warranty has already expired, so I took it apart to see if maybe it's a loose connection to the power supply, but it's not. It's going to cost $150 to get it fixed now.
Would it be cheaper to just buy a used system and sell mine as a refurb? I REALLY want an older model, because the backwards compatability is a very important feature to me.
