I re-watched HULK this weekend and I decided that I really would have no problem with Josh Lucas as Dent. He's not quite what I envision, but he's got all the requirements, really. And while I like Jackman better than Lucas on principle... I'd prefer Lucas over Jackman for Dent.

Yes he played Wolverine but they are different character Dent is clean and smart looking wolverine is different and there are no claws.

Basically i dont think there should be any problem of Hugh Jackman in Batman Begins sequel, it's just the same as James Mardsen as Cyclops in the new Superman Returns movie, in Superman he plays a clean cut married man, It would be the same for Batman

I dont know about that...

Take 10 people off the street....
Show them a photo of Hugh Jackman (not as Wolverine) and probably 6 out of 10 will say that's Wolverine where as 4 out of 10 may even know his real name.

Show those same 10 people a photo of James Mardsen and 'maybe' 2...3 people will say he's Cyclops and probably NO ONE will know his real name. I didnt for instance and had to copy it from your post above.

In other words...Jackman is well known. Not Connery=Bond well known but in the Superhero Movie world he IS Wolverine...and probably the Best choice for the role ever, but I dont care to see him as Dent, personally.

Mardsen is still relatively an outsider to the common folk as an actor. To me he still can get away with being the 'unknown' underdog in a film without the risk of people continually associating him to Cyclops. He's a good actor in my book, and can still work his way up to star status.

Generally speaking, I'm just not big on a 'big name' associated to the role. At least not one I grew up with. Adrian Brody for instance is a big star, but a relatively new guy on the block...The agent Smith from Matrix, the other guy from Matrix who's name keeps popping up and so on. To me...all fine choices for characters in the next movie but enough with the Arnolds, Clooneys, Stallones, Travoltas, Nicholsons of the 80's and 90's.
Let's see some new blood attached to this role...

Why cant Jackman just be in a role that is not Harvey dent or Joker? cant we possibly consider him as someone minor but turn major in the 3rd or only appear in the 3rd? I think he can fit somewhere in the movies really well, just dont know as what

He was linked with Dent role before so I after read it I thought he linked with Dent role again plus he's star now I doubt he will do cameo in BB2 and I think he will great as Dent that's only role I can see him do in a Batman role, I doubt he will be Joker.
