Batman: Dark Knight may sound redundent to the some of you, but not to the public.

You say that. But I would be surprised if most of the general public didn't associate the titles "The Dark Knight" and "The Caped Crusader" with Batman already.

I dont wanna brag or anything but I said back in November 2005 when people on this board racking there brains trying to figure what the title was gonna be (everyone said stuff like Batman:Brutality, Batman: rising, Batman this, Batman that) and I said dont be suprise if Batman isnt even in the name and it's called the Dark Knight something......

So many of you are so defensive about the title. Batman should be in the title. It's a damn Batman movie after all. He's Batman, the Dark Knight is just a pseudonym.



They're the ones who give movies the money.

And they will still give the studios their money regardless....past films (which have been mentioned frequenty in this thread) have proved that you don't need the scheme to sell tickets. That's all their is to it.

I wouldn't be upset if it was called Batman: Dark Knight. Some of you might go "IT's redundent". It's not a big deal.

However, Dark Knight by itself is very bold.

And don't worry, that's why you got a marketing department, so people WILL know it's Batman.

Well, your examples are too far off IMO. Did they go WTF is Pirates of the Caribbean? WTF is Die Another Day? WTF is Casino Royale?

People will not be asking what The Dark Knight is after they see a teaser trailer, poster, or a quick advertisement with a tagline associated with Batman..........

The Dark Knight = Batman, so whats your point? A movie called Alexander The Great would fit with a movie about Alexander of Macedonia. Man of Steel would be a fine title for a Superman movie. I dont get the issue here.
