The shot of Bond of the boat entering the floating casino, or on the motorbike in Istanbul, or the fight with Patrice in the hotel, or Hell even some of the shots of London, were all better than anything in QOS. And there's no ADD editing that makes it impossible to tell WTH is going on in the action scenes either.

yeah the editing is something I really dislike too.

but I still think QoS looks pretty good..its all sunny location, dunno where you wanna play with shadows like some people here request.. in the end it comes down to taste and style.
You could also make a point that Deakins and his constant silhouette shots is more than overused in Skyfall.. take a shot of vodka everytime and you're wasted after one hour..

Because the vast majority vote either a 1 or a 10, and Craig still has quite a few Bond fan haters.

But that isn't the question. The question is what qualifies as a strong score on IMDB.

Well, true, the overuse of sunny locations is probably more of a directing fault that a cinematography issue, but there are plenty of scenes where QoS could have used lighting and shadow more effectively. For instance, compare the light of the romantic interlude with Fields to either the shaving scene with Eve or Bond's shower with Severine. Similarly, Green's evening party could be far more interesting looking.

That's what I meant earlier. With QoS I get the sense that everything is hot, the sun burns, it feels like summer. If they wanted to create that sensation, then the cinematography did its job.

(Also, small thing I read about that film, the action sequences are based around the four classical elements of earth, water, air and fire).

Well least Skyfall was much better than QOS, CR is still my favourite Craig Bond film though. 9/10.

Edit: It's well worth downloading the poll data in its entirety. It shows a few interesting things, like conservatives being more likely to have a favourite Bond than others, and being more will deposed to Roger Moore!
