The same way FEYO and Risico (w/ pints of LALD) worked in 1981: Merge the ****ers into one story

It's not so much the length, it's the fact that QoS isn't really a James Bond story. I'm not sure that it would fit with the type of film that the series is.

Its either that or cherrypick from Colonel Sun again but they can only cherrypick so much portions of it with M's Kidnapping (The World Is Not Enough) and a loosely based on Sun in Colonel Moon (Die Another Day). And bugger knows EON won't and wouldn't touch the post Fleming-Amis books (i.e. Gardner, Benson, & Falke) with a 80ft pole

There's always The Spy Who Loved Me

IIRC, Fleming would rather the book title be used only since the book got a unceremonious beating by critics and fans at the time of publication leading to him advising Broccoli and Saltzman not to use any elements from the book (Vivienne "Viv" Michel included) though one of the two mobsters in the book Sol "Horror" Horowitz managed to become Jaws (both have the same metal teeth).

There's also some parts of the Man With The Golden Gun they could use like Bond being brainwashed by the enemy to assassinate M and his getting electroshock treatment to reprogram him and be a more efficient agent. With the latter, I did read up one forum topic over at CommanderBond.net as to whether all of Bond's memories was restored in full since or notBlofeld and Tracy never came up despite the book never went through revision by the time Fleming's final heart attack happened

Learn to read. My post was in response to the guy's ridiculous theory in that if he or anyone else believe it they'll believe anything. I quoted your post but I didn't single you out personally.
So I'm supposed to decipher whether you're referring to me or the writer without you ever specifying as to who you're directing the comment towards?

If you wanted to be clear about it you should have quoted the link for the article not my quote.

I think my reading is fine but your conceptual volition needs some work. I would also recommend to reign yourself in with comments like "Learn to read" as that will most assuredly get you an infraction.

Actually upon reviewing your post you quite carefully omitted the links and just chose to quote my opinion. As I said if you truly meant to target the writer of the theory you would have quoted the link, not single out my opinion while quoting the initial post I made.

Glad to know that as London is visually drab and reminds me of BBC tv drama, Rome is exotic and the kind of location I love for Bond and the escapism. So what they are filming now with the cars in London is not part of the chase?

The chase starts off from Blenheim Palace in England, which was standing in for a location in Rome. But once they hit the city streets, Rome is playing Rome.

Based on the new video blog, it looks like the over the top Tom Ford suit previously seen might be Bond trying to blend in with flashy Italian fashion and maybe even trying to look like a mobster given the context of the funeral. His suit in the office scene with M, from what we can see, looks much more restrained and classic. If so, I will withdraw my objections.

Damn, it's just a set pic, but visually it might look as good as Skyfall. Go Hotye Van, go.

I noticed that Mr. Hinx has a double-barreled pistol. Apparently he's been talking to Christoph Waltz even more than I first thought.

Waltz: "You see, I was in a movie a few years back called The Green Hornet. The movie wasn't particularly good, but I did get to shoot a cool gun. It had two barrels on it."

Bautista: "That's awesome. I should see if Mendes will let me have something like that."

Waltz: "Oh yes, good idea. It would be very Bond-ian."

AHHHHH!!! The war wound!

Like end of skyfall M's office looks very classic bond.

Moneypenny actully seen inside M's office is something that has been rae in Bond films.

Good. I'm liking that they're not just making Batista some gimmicky muscle. Batista was great in GOTG so I'd like to see that still put to use. He and Craig squaring off will be quite great and I predict funny as well.

In the most recent edition of the script I read, Hinx was still just a mute brute. But if what Batista is saying is true then Mendes did the right thing and changed the dialogue to favor Batista's comedic capabilities.

Thanks for the info man, so do you know what Blenheim Palace was doubling as?

it looks like they are really going for stylish architecture in this one.. the glass hotel on top of a mountain, the cemetery and in this last video these columns where the thugs shoot at bonds car.. looks all very slick :)

Spoilers from the Empire article:

- Madeleine Swann is a doctor at the Hoffler Klinik, a specialist treatment centre for the rich
- Hinx abducts Madeleine after Bond tries, and perhaps fails, to get information from her
- the Austrian action takes place roughly halfway through the film
- Broccoli and Wilson refuse to confirm (or deny) that Waltz's character is Blofeld
- as suspected, the pre-title sequence is indeed set in Mexico
- the big meeting of SPECTRE members takes place in Rome, albeit set at Pinewood and Blenheim

Really looking forward to the

SPECTRE meeting

Just screams classic Bond. :007

I saw Batista in person at a wrestling house show 12 years ago. He didn't wrestle though, he just held out the collection box with when he was doing the deacon thing with D-Von.

Do the Bond books ever reference their own title like in the movies?

Yeah, I recall that Fleming considered it a failed experiment and was deeply ashamed of it. Though was there an actual legal thing that prevented the novel's material being used by EON or was it just an honor thing that caused them to only use the title? If it's the latter then I could see certain elements of the story being utilized in some way, for certain scenes.

Just a fictional palazzo in Rome where a certain group of villains are having a meeting.

Gotcha, from the spoilers it sounds like a pivotal [BLACKOUT]SPECTRE[/BLACKOUT] meeting.

I wonder what the pre-credits action sequence in Mexico is going to be.

The latter. The former was more toward blocking the paperback edition which he succeeded in doing just that
