Never watched it.

He doesn't look remotely intimidating to me. Doesn't sell the "badass" vibe well at all, imo. And I mean based on snippets I've seen of The Guest, not just that picture.

What is with all the post-Craig stuff? Is there some sort of credible rumor this is his last of something? We have like the perfect Bond right now and hopefully it last a good bit longer. Craig's look should allow that as long as he keeps in shape.

The old man's days are numbered...It's time we start looking for fresh blood :o

Every time a new actor steps into the role his days are numbered and we need to start looking for the next Bond. We can never enjoy the present one as he is. :o

Not that I want Craig gone, but after he's done, lemme get some Fassbender / Fassbond. He even looks like the character, as described by Flemming.

I was lining up other actors even before he finished filming Casino Royale :p

I was lining up other actors when Craig stepped off that speed boat in his life jacket when he was first announced. :oldrazz:

Bond actors are like cars when you drive them away from the showroom. They already start depreciating. :p

I remember the complaints like it was yesterday.

"Him, James Bond? He can't be James Bond! HE'S WEARING A LIFE JACKET!!! PUZZY!!!!!" :hehe:

Thanks, though that isn't really demonstrative of anything other than his ability to hold a gun and frown.

Watch The Guest. Dan Stevens went from being a chubby Hugh Grant type on Downton Abbey to a ripped Southern American Ryan Gosling type badass psycho in The Guest.

One of the best actor change ups in years. Type of thing Jude Law has been trying and failing to do his whole career.

Some of its just fun speculation but some people really seem to think that a 50 year old Craig is the same as a 50 year old Roger Moore. Like Craig's gonna hit fifty and gain 40 pounds, need a toupee and get an artificial hip.

The times have changed, folks. Roger hit 50 in a very different time. Research and knowledge about nutrition and physical health and maintenance wasn't then what it is today. Craig could play Bond for 10 more years easily and still be in great shape. Hell if he was crazy enough to devote the time and cash he could stay in great shape and have the stamina for Bond even at 60. It won't be age that makes him leave the role. It will be because he is simply tired of the role, or because EON wants to give Bond a new face to gain back the hype of a new Bond.

I always want the incumbent to stay as long as possible but more so with Craig. He's the absolute perfect Bond for these times. The franchise is in very strong hands with him.

Yes, DC's will be big shoes to fill, and hopefully not for some time.

Indeed. That's why I want him to stay for a while yet. His portrayal is postmodern in many ways. Elements of the classical with modern flair. Ordering a martini but not caring if it's shaken not stirred, for example.

And ideally I think Bond actors should have solid length tenures of five, six or seven films. I'm not into musical chair type casting from film to film with iconic roles like these. Every time a new guy is cast the franchise is on the line and has to reprove itself. They haven't failed yet, but the point stands.

Fassbender would have been perfect but he will probably be too old (to start a decent length run) by the time Craig is finished. Also, he's probably too high profile for EON now.
