Blofeld could be played by a black actor.
Hell no and this is coming from a brother.

Blofeld could be played by a black actor.

Isn't that the standard audition scene which they use for every new Bond actor now?
Not really. The bald head doesn't HAVE to be campy. You can make a more serious and scary Blofeld for the modern age and he just happens to be bald. The Bat-nipples, on the other hand, will always be campy.
Is it bad that I want the series to go back to the early Connery roots? We got some nods in Skyfall.
No, how can that be a bad thing to want? That is what I was always preferred myself. TSWLM-type gadget epics have never really appealed to me.

The Deakins news i think its sorta expected , at least thinking he probably has a lot of offers , and spending his time doing these sort of projects isnt very stimulating , especially this being the most formulaic franchise in the world. He did one. It was good (i actually dont think it was all that great). He took it out of his system.
Man, you're crazy as hell. The cinematography was among the best of the past decade and that's saying something these days.
Well, unless you meant the film overall. Then my bad.
But by all means lets give the Oscar to the cg cinematography. I know computers are brought in to tweak images in almost all films now but its to the point that I really don't understand why animated films aren't eligible given how loosely cinematography is now defined.
OK you sound like a rambling old geezer. Are you talking about 'color correction' that happens to nearly all movies?
Animators went not brought in to animate the lighting in movies. If that's the case, a movie with too much CG effects should be nominated for best animated film too.
Comic book films have taken over Bond with its higher quantity in the soulless formula department. Don't mistake me for not being a fan of them. But the lot of them tread depressingly similar thematic ground.especially this being the most formulaic franchise in the world.
Just by going with the EON series the campiest Blofeld was the one that had hair (Gray's).
I may be mistaken, but I believe he is talking about Life of Pi winning best cinematography. Life of Pi is 90% cgi environmemts which means all the lighting and stuff was done at the hands of an animator not the DP. Personally I dont think it deserved the award for cinematography. Its cinematography was almost entirely cgi and there is a separate category for that. Just my opinion. Life of Pi deserved awards just not that particular one. Deakins was legitimately robbed in that case.
I can't believe the same man who directed 'Never' directed 'The Empire Strikes Back'. WTF.
