if they film the next 2 back to back then I want at least 1 more with DC after that before he is too old

think Im one of the only Bond fans around who really doesnt buy into the "Fassbender would be perfect as Bond" hype
Yeah. I'm not into burning through actors in roles when they're perfect for it, just to see how another guy would go. If Fassbender is the right age when Craig is done, then and only then should it happen. If he's too old by then, too bad really. At this moment he's just an outsider not connected with the series.

No I'm with you. I'm in no rush for Craig to leave the role.

All the buzz around the net about the idea of Idris Elba playing Bond is very interesting to me. But I know A LOT will dismiss the idea.

But James Bond has never been specific person to me, he was always super slick spy with a personality to me. So I like the idea of Idris Elba playing Bond, I'm sure he can pull off the personality. I will just be worried about his age tho if he ever does it.

As good an actor as Elba is and as progressive as we as fans claim to be, you already know there would be backlash.

will they look at henry again or is superman too big of a role to be bond too lol

Skyfall was brilliant. I want to see it again asap :D

That is all.

You're not the only one who shares that sentiment, my friend.

My thoughts :

A) I love Craig. I'm in no way; shape, or form ready to see him leave the role yet.
B) Elba is a great actor, and a great man, but I really don't want a black james bond. Sorry.

I'm going against the grain here but I have to say I really didn't care for Skyfall.

I thought it too predictable, Mendes just can't direct action and Craig's Bond is a complete 360 from the Bond in Casino Royale - I'm all for character growth, but come on, would the CR Bond
have an ejector seat and guns fitted to the DB5?

Bardem was very good though, elevated the film from being a throwaway film.

Why in the heck are they pulling a pirates of the caribbean and making Bond 24&25 cover a single story? So we have a cliffhanger ending to look forward to and an incomplete story to look forward to in the next bond film. And im curious if they will still come out two years apart or if they will release them 6 months to a year apart. Its also interesting that this means Craigs tenure as Bond will end sooner than we thought if they go this route.

 I concur.

That's not so different from what happened with Casino Royale and QOS, though CR was pretty much a complete story.

QOS wasnt originally planned to be a sequel. It was because of the writers strike that it became one. Craig and the director only had a small outline and because they arent writers the only thing they could come up with was to make it a sequel use ideas from the first film and construct it around action sequences.

This two movie arc for 24&25 is a full and planned two movie arc so its much more likely that 24 story will not be contained like CR but an actual single part to a larger story. This probably will be nothing like CR/QOS. And they better hire the same director for both and not have vastly different styles for both. I want consistency of quality otherwise this will be a mess.

I don't think it'll be like pirates or bttf. They'll be complete stories but they'll tie into each other. Basically what CR and QoS should have been

From what I am hearing It seems like they want to blur the line between being Craig's final Origin film and being Bond 23.007 Legends seems part of
plan of producers. They want audneces to believe Bond has gone through all those films before Skyfall.Although obviously like 007 Legends they were
slightly different than films people remembered. Thus by time Bond 24 happens It will be like It was In past just the next chapter of Bond although now
Mallory Is M.Q Is younger. And there Is black Moneypenny Bond flirts with but you know the history of the sexual tension

Bond 24/Bond 25 may return Bond to the world saving Bond.Who Knows maybe John Logan can convince Eon to reintroduce Blofeld In series.

A possiblty for Bond 24/25 Is Bond stops villain In 24 but he escapes. In 25 he pursures Villain who Is planning revenge for Bond stopping his plan.Basiclly what You Only Live Twive/On Her Majestry's secret Service In some way could have been.

To those who have seen it how long after QOS is Skyfall set? I know in the trailers and tv spots it was indicated that the Bond in Skyfall is whethered and has been at it for a while, but I was wondering if a more concrete answer was given in the film?

or its in order to have him do more films in a shorter period and they will offer him more after 25?

Skyfall - Film Review

Skyfall is James Bond’s 23rd appearance in theatres since his premiere in Dr. No in 1962. That’s 50 years of Bond & Skyfall carries on the legacy, not just as a good Bond film, but a good film in general.

Skyfall feels like a high fantasy tale of the British MI6 with James Bond (Daniel Craig) being like a raw force of nature that effects the world around him. The cyber terrorist Rauol Silva (Javier Bardem) is the other side of the same coin, the unstoppable force meets the immovable object as one fights for the sake of their country, these aren’t ordinary people, they feel like the archtypes of espionage, the golden age of pulp with its steel cold hero and the nefarious villain.

Director Sam Mendes takes a great vision on the world Bond operates within. Having a big part of the story revolve around the history of MI6 and its agents, M (Judi Dench) has a pivotal role in the story; Her relations with Agent 007 a& the sheer power of Judi Dench’s acting gives a powerful emotional connection within, she is Britain’s Guardian Angel.

The new Q (Ben Whishaw) also gets to show off his young egoistic innovation to the “Old Dog” 007 as the new Q is a mere young adult, but you get these interesting dynamics and even other minor side characters such as M’s assistant and Chairman of the Intelligence & Security Committee.

What’s important about Spy thrillers is the sense of cool smooth style & with Cinematographer Roger Deakins, the visual coolness is spot on. London is majestic, royal and beautiful, the tunnel mazes of London are ancient, Scotland is a beautiful piece of nature’s beauty, but what steals the show are the scenes in the Western Content: Shanghai & Macau. Shanghai in night is a city of beautiful neon lights with its advertisements & Macau is a mixture of golden lights melding with the night, it’s just very beautiful scenery and takes you right into this world.

Thomas Newman’s soundtrack is stylish, but it’s sadly quite nothing spectacularly new, to me it felt like it had either cues to the older James Bond franchise, such as the everlasting epic that is the Bond theme, or inspirations taken from other modern blockbuster movies composed by someone like Hans Zimmer.

What’s appealing and at the same time funnily entertaining for me, is the sexual factor this movie has. Yes all Bond movies have very beautiful & sexy women (especially Sévérine played by Bérénice Marlohe), this movie is no different, but I want to factor in the sexual factor that Daniel Craig provides in this film & how director Sam Mendes utilizes the body language of James Bond in this film.

When was the last time Bond was this raw pure beast? It goes back to comparing any Bond actor with the legend Sean Connery, but this isn’t a blog post about that, but simply pointing out how Daniel Craig is bringing aspects of the Ian Fleming character that I personally felt we haven’t seen this strong since the 1960s. Daniel Craig’s body gets a lot of visual show, so does the Agent’s pure strength & kinetic energy, this man doesn’t give up at all.

Daniel Craig’s Bond franchise has handled action choreography very well. The move begins with a stunning heist. It has some obvious green screen involved, but it doesn’t take away from the scene. The scale gets bigger as Silva nears his end game. Sit tight for the massive action sequence in the finale; it delivers everything you would expect!

Skyfall is a very good film showcasing why the James Bond franchise is so loved, giving us that fantasy feeling we’ve had since the early days of pulp espionage, powerful acting with so much charisma, you can’t help but to love Daniel Craig’s latest mission as the 007.

One things for sure, Craig's regeneration will be really sad.

;)

I don't think that is what is happening at all. I think what Logan, pitched, being a fan of Blofeld, is something like the Blofeld trilogy in the novels or the Spectre story arc of the early Connery films. I think both films will be self-contained stories, but with Bond 24 laying the groundwork for the reintroduction of Blofeld in Bond 25. ie. Bond 24 foils a Spectre plot but never faces Blofeld directly (like Thunderball), Bond 25 Bond actually confronts Blofeld
