Alright, I just saw this yesterday with my wife. I really did NOT want to see it when it initially came out. I thought it looked "gay."
Well when I heard about the re-release, I started to consider seeing it, especially since it was going to be in 3D. I talked to Storm about it and he was really on the fence about going to see it, but told me that if I did decide to see it, then I should see it in 3D. I had not seen a 3D movie in many many years, so I decided that I would give it a shot.
I talked to my wife about it and she was against it, but after a little while, she changed her mind and said she would give it a shot.
Anyways, enough of the rambling, on to the movie.
Ok, so it was very predictable, because the story had been used before (Pocahontas, etc). So, already "knowing" the plot, I wont complain too much about that aspect.
There seem to be a lot of holes, or at least things that werent explained, in the story. This kind of bothered me, since I felt that it was important for me to understand. But, whatever, I know, its just a movie and we need to let our imagination take over. But I guess for $16.50 a person, I wanted it spoon fed (LOL).
I know my concerns have probably been spoken on here many times. I havent read a single post in this thread, so my thoughts here are my own.
Anyways, it was good, enjoyable. My wife liked it.
It was NOT this incredible, groundbreaking, heart string pulling epic that SOME have made it out to be.
4 out of 5 stars. (slightly rounded up).
Oh and the Tron 3D trailer looked pretty good.
