Legendary character actor James Karen (Return of the Living Dead, Apt Pupil), has let slip an intriguing piece of info about the upcoming Superman Returns while doing an interview for the DVD release of Frankenstein Meets the Spacemonster.

Daniel Robert Epstein: There is a picture of you and Eva Marie Saint in Superman Returns looking up in the air. I assume your characters are looking at Superman flying.

James Karen: No we’re looking up at Superman’s room in the hospital at the end of the picture.

James Karen is portraying Ben Hubbard, the man who takes care of Martha Kent played by Eva Marie Saint. The character was mentioned in Richard Donner’s Superman: The Movie but is actually going to be seen in this film.

Well, I don't know for sure, but the last scene in the book was a Lois and Supes chat after he leaves the hospital...

Kinda cool to see Martha out their worried about her son who no one can know is her son. Going to to be an interesting scene I imagine.
