Horror James Wan's "The Conjuring"

Agreed on wanting Wan to direct the third, but I'd be open to another director with at least a decent track record, like maybe Mike Flanagan, David F Sandberg, or Robert Eggers. I'd be open to Ari Aster too, even though I wasn't really a fan of Hereditary, although I appreciated some of his directorial style (the writing in that movie is what hurt it, IMO).

I agree with you on Aster. I think he'd do a great job with the visuals of a new Conjuring film, but Hereditary had a garbage script. As long as they have another writer Aster could make something cool.

Shame. Going to miss his sublime camerawork.

If Wa an isnt coming back they should get David F. Sandberg to direct it.

What the hell is Wan doing? Starting franchises and just abandoning them to die in a ditch covered in the blood of Jesus.

They are probably gonna give it to Adam Robitel or someone who's new.

Give it to the guy who did Insidious. :o

Give it to the guy who did Insidious. :o

Or the guy who did Lights Out.

I really need to watch the second one again. I had caught the first half on a flight out and then the second half on the flight home. I enjoyed it a lot, same as the first one. Wan really knows his stuff when it comes to horror so losing him is disappointing.

There were more! I thought that was a myth. :p

Ugh I read the Wikipedia article and I realized it was the prequel one.

The 4th one was slightly better than the 3rd one.

RDJ is in the third one right? I remember not liking the second one that much either.

James Wan is usually on point with picking talent, so i'm in.

Quite a show of faith. Can't wait to get a look at La Llorona.

Big warning, guys: The Conjuring 3's plot is based off a big fat lie this time. No, really. This must be why James Wan bailed. Don't buy into this one. The Warrens are out to scam you!
