Hey Baggers, just by two-toning him has really made this cool... definitely your best yet

yeah man, i like it. not the biggest fans of manips in general, but i really like the concept here. the body armor looks good. but steve rodgers with guns...? Isn't that like... heresy? :P

Okay so after reading the rules this time, here is my real entry. Nothing special. Just a manip lol. Assume the sheild is being worn behind him lol. I couldn't come to a conclusion on how to get a mask to look right so you're stuck with Channing Tatum.

Thanx Phig glad you like, this month I had more time on my hands so was able to add alil more detail and care to my final image, hopefully my next month entry will have the same time and effort

I'm not usually a fan of manips myself either to me they feel like cheating to me (even tho I've tried my hand at them maybe that's why I hate them cause I suck at them lol) but Nightwing08 makes them look like pieces of art also 616 Captain America not a fan of guns but The Ultimate Cap is very gun ho and alil crazy to boot lol.

Yeah I looked up the Captain ranks for both the Army and Marines and added them to make Cap a decorated officer.

And the idea of Cap unhinging the Skull's jaw was too good to pass up. Even though it was a mask in the comics, the fact that it's a 'Red Skull' just seemed to be asking for an actual skull to be fractured. You can also see the cracks in the base of the skull where the jaw was unhinged.

Like your entry very much would like to see the costume you came up with in a non action pose to see all the differences.

decided not to go for a costume concept piece afterall and trying to take it in more of an "artistic" direction.... hope it works out...should be finished soon

well heres my entry, I was originally goin to do a manip costume design but decided to go for this after my gran recently showed me a picture of her father in the trenches which he had sent back to her mother I figured cap would have probably done something similar and got the words after re-reading the ultimates :

Freaking brilliant. I adore this picture. However, alittle bit of input:

I'd work on intensifiying the highlights and shadows on Cap' to make him fit into the rest of the picture better. I think a simple contrast tweak in Photoshop will do the trick.

loving the composition here. i'm so glad someone took this concept out of the box. dude you knocked it out of the park. i really enjoy this
