If they go the older Punisher route - Michael Pare. I know the guy (did a film with him - had lots of great scenes opposite each other). His look, voice, etc would make a GREAT aging Punisher.

Not because you can´t make a good Frank Castle (that wasn´t it, but you are a capable actor), but because The Punisher deserves a hell lot more than a sh**ty movie.

damn...this sucks. but thats what happens when the studios don't take it as seriously as other movies...Jane had to have been ticked with all these delays, and 'almost' and 'soon' ...he hasn't been terribly tied up with it...but its always been on the backburner...but u cant dic% actors around like this for this long.

Yea this bites. I thought he was awesome in the first movie and was really looking forward to the sequel. For him to pull out of this movie tells me that the studio just doesn't care what kind of movie they make. I think after this move by Jane, the movie will be scrapped all together, we will NOT see a Punisher 2 and thank God being that it really was going to suck.

I doubt they're going to make a sequel, but if they do it would be nice to get an actor who has the ability to be intimidating (what he does counts for a lot, but to me Jane always came off as an average guy doing mean/violent stuff, not the Punisher).

They should do everything with a potential Punisher film what they're doing with the new Hulk film, but they should first wait it out for a good long while. It's only been three years since "Punisher" and people would be ignorant to the situation if a new "Punisher" film with a new star came out too quickly. Wait the same length of time between the Lundgren and Jane pictures (14 years) then do another one.

And Punisher fans; if you think that's too long, just go play the kick ass "Punisher" video game to pass the time.

While he was good his look was wrong for the role to start with.

I want the next Punisher movie to really draw out the look of the comics because if done right man The Punisher could be such a kick ass movie.
