I LOVE Jeff Beck. He is an amazing guitarist and I have his Blow By Blow solo album. Been a while since I've listened to it, but whenever I did it still amazes me as to how great, fluid, and soulful his playing is.

jeff beck has been a big influence on the way i play, and my musical taste.

jeff beck is so incredible! truth is a fantastic album. i still need to get beck-ola. and the yardbirds! those guys were the best, man!

I've been listening to Blow By Blow a lot as of yesterday. It's my very first Jeff Beck album and unfortunately it's the only one I have. My dad used to talk about how awesome Jeff Beck was and is, so I owe my appreciation of his music to my dad actually.

You Had It Coming helped me get through a tough time in my life when I first moved to NH. Me and my fam would drive around the snow covered city and would listen to the album endlessly. Nadya is absolutely beautiful. Good Times

I have a story regarding Jeff Beck and the impact his music made on my life.

Before I start apologies to every poster for reading this wordy and lengthy post.

I was living in Edwards, Air Force Base in California and we were in the midst of moving from California to South Carolina. I was just getting into rock music, guitarists, and etc, my dad saw my interest and suggested that I give Jeff Beck a listen as he's a great guitarist and I would most likely enjoy the music. We were living on the military base and when shopping at the Base Exchange I found Beck's album "Blow By Blow" and I bought it right then and there.

Moving from California was a depressing time for me and I remember listening to it in the car with my parents while driving cross country. But it wasn't until we actually came to South Carolina and my depression was at its peak since leaving California. I was suicidal, lonely, hating life, bitter, and just angry at everyone and everything. On certain nights I'd find myself listening to the album and just letting myself go as the music played. Songs like Scatterbrain, Diamond Dust, Freeway Jam, Cause We Ended As Lovers, and so forth just spoke great volumes to me.

That music became the soundtrack of my life at that point and I found myself listening to it more as I went to bed, walking, working out, or just sitting at the dinner table with my cd player while eating dinner. It was the album that first inspired me to buy my first guitar and I would end up trying to play along with Beck. Of course, when I was trying to play "Cause We Ended As Lovers", I ended up snapping the string on my guitar and I haven't played the instrument since then because I found I was better at singing, writing lyrics, and writing music in general. Especially when it comes to piecing together song structures and describing what I hear in my head.

But Beck's music really pulled me out of a deep depression because his style, his music, and his presence really helped me see the brighter side of things.

It's interesting because that was ten years ago and here I am at the age of 27 still hearing the music in my head. Hearing the music takes me back to that time and how I find comfort in hearing the melodies, harmonies, and soulful honesty that Jeff Beck plays with.

great story. wish i had one as great as you. i discovered Beck around the same time Zeppelin and Deep Purple, the internet really helps win search for good music.

I caught Jeff Beck perform here in Auckland back in February. What an amazing concert. Even him having Vinnie Colaiuta drumming was a joy to watch. But it's the young 22 year old Australian bassist Tal Wilkenfeld who truly impressed me all night long.

I never really listened to much of his material up until the gig but man am I glad I finally did. I've listened to Truth, Beck-ola and Blow by Blow so far and damn they're amazing. Even Rod Stewart sounded great. Can't say much about him nowadays though.
