Two-time Oscar®-winner Cate Blanchett (“Blue Jasmine,” “Carol, “Cinderella”) joins Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok” as the mysterious and powerful new villain Hela, along with Jeff Goldblum (the upcoming “Independence Day: Resurgence,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “Jurassic Park”) who joins the cast as the eccentric Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson (“Creed,” “Selma”) who will bring the classic hero Valkyrie to life on the big screen, and Karl Urban (“Star Trek” trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King”) who will add his might to the fray as Skurge.
Marvel

I wonder if he will have an infinity stone?
He had one in the comics before Thanos got it off him.

Goldblum in the MCU. :awesome:

One step closer to getting him and RDJ on screen together.

He's Jeff Goldblum, of course he has an Infinity Stone. :oldrazz:

Him and Benicio competing against each other and Thanos?
Yes please.

Goldblum in the MCU DAMN Marvel is just going after every top tier actor they can find.

Goldblum and Del Toro make a quirky duo. It would be cool if all the Universe Elders are slightly oddball.

If it gets announced that Stallone was actually cast as the Champion I might die happy.

This really is a wonderful day in MCU history.

Well... Ah... This... This is, ah, quite surprising. Not... not totally out of the realm of possibilities of course, but certainly, ah... surprising.

Never occurred to me but you might be on to something...

Nice to see Marvel got a nice cast for this film. It'll be interesting to see how they use Goldblum here.

I was not expecting this I mean Goldblum appearing in the MCU eventually, sure. But not this movie and this role.

This is automatically going to be the best Thor film ever because Goldblum is in it. Automatically. I don't even need to see it, though I will.

My ideal casting for Grandmaster.

My body is ready.

I have a distinct feeling that we're going to see Stark and Grandmaster in a kind of "aggressive negotiation" scene in one of the Infinity War movies, similar to the Loki/Stark "We have a Hulk" scene in the Avengers or Luthor/Darkseid in the final act of Justice League Unlimited.

That will be pure ****ing dialogue porn right there. :hmr:

I've been a huge fan of Goldblum since The Fly. So, having him in the movie is a big plus to me!

Super fast dialog delivery vs Super slow dialog delivery.

I see it more of BDT and Jeff having the chess match with Stark throwing shade at both from the sidelines.

I don't think the Collector knows how to play chess. He's like one of those posers who collects Pokemon cards for the value but has no clue how the game is actually played. :o

Seeing him and BDT's Collector potentially trying to outsnark each other is also an, appealing, prospect for me.

Asgard um, er... finds a way.

Goldblum is one of those actors destined for the marvel u. Add him with Taika's quirkiness and we're in for a treat! Not familiar with the character though

This is gonna be awesome.
