No, his family is a reason he WONT join Iron Man's side. His family is off the grid. Only the core Avenger's team and Fury know about them. MAYBE Scarlet Witch due to the Nathaniel's middle name.

Why would he want to register and have his family be put BACK on the grid? No flippin' way. He's on Team Cap 110%.

Does it make really any sense for Iron Man to fight on the registration side after all of his actions in previous films? Or that pro-registration would even want him on their side?

Yes, I think it does. He has been progressing from that anti-government type that he was in IM2. After the whole Ultron thing, it would make sense for him to welcome a little government oversight. Because maybe he feels that he himself needs it.

He'll probably have a voice and serious opinion on the "war" along with everyone else like Wanda, Vision, Scott, Rhodey, and everyone else. Have one or two scenes sharing his opinion on it. about 2 little fight scenes/slash scuffles mid movie. Be with the Cap's team through most of the "being on the run", and participate in the end fight. Thats all i can hope for him and the other avengers.
