Yes he did, it's called Watchmen.

I do enjoy Watchman, but i'd give 500 Days the edge.
Anyways, I'm really looking forward to Jesse's Lex. From what I've seen it'll at least be an entertaining performance, though i'm hoping for more.

Well everyone's got an opinion. :cwink:

And yeah Lex will be entertaining in BvS.

I just hope he feels like a character that fits into that world.

Yeah, personally that 'bring it on' gesture he did with his hands looked super cheesy. I kind of wished he just had his hands behind his back, fully confident and knows exactly what he's doing.

Interesting. I actually loved it. One of my favorite parts of the trailer....I view this Lex as a nutjob...so it fits.

They are both characters in a lab coat... That's the only connection possible o be made.

He said it reminded him... his opinion.

It's quite simple, people have an idea of lex and this representation doesn't match it.

Now, for me, J Eisenberg does not come across in many of his films as your standard, every day man. He may seem either youthful, anxious, naive or obnoxious.

So - obviously to me, when he carries on this 'style' in this film, or at least what we saw in the trailer - it doesn't come across as a match to superman - honestly, Superman may look at him and think 'what an annoying spoilt kid'.

Ok, let's say we have another actor, portray the exact same style and read the same script - let's say it was joaquin phoenix or even Mads Mikkelsen. you just get that vibe, that they can destroy your life and not give it a second thought.

Someone said it earlier, that he just comes across as Lex's annoying son.

Ugh, may I say how much I hate that shot of Lex? I think it was the cutting and music of that scene too but man oh man that shot of him pissed me off for some reason.
I was flicking through the trailer again last night and realized that if you pause it as soon as that shot comes on see looks kinda angry.

That @$&+/*%£ wig! Damnit! :fst:

Now "come here" gestures are cheesy?

(Shakes head)

I don't see how a minor hand gesture is inherently cheesy.

What joyless world do you some of you live in?

Wait, so you get joy from seeing a guy do a "come to mamma" gesture?

You can't just say "context" for everything someone doesn't like.

You know I'm agreeing with you, right? I'm saying the gesture looks cheesy in context, but is not inherently so.

Jesse's portrayal is a great choice for this film since Clark and Bruce are so graven and the gravity from the film's central conflict comes from them. If he was this third intimidating sullen person added the film would be entirely out of balance.

Conversely, if Clark was a bumbling reporter, Bruce a gadfly, AND Lex a mad scientist, the film would be out of balance.

Terrio knows how to juggle an ensemble.

I also like the "three syllable..." line delivery.
It reminded me kind of "Lex Luthor: You're not seeing the big picture here, Miss Lane. Let me enlarge it for you. [brings down another map] Not just an island. An entirely new continent. An extinct world, reborn, on our own." from Superman Returns. :sly:

Kevin Spacey is still my favorite Lex Luthor, unpopular as that opinion may be.

If only they made him more like the guy from Se7en instead of Hackman though :o Minus the ending of that movie :hehe:

Watching the trailer again I realized this Lex is Eric Cartman.

more like Frank from House of Cards

that right there is Luthor
Also true. Man I don't get why they can't just give us live action Lex like this  I suppose there is a chance Jesse evolves, we'll see.

It's not a "come to mama" or "come here" gesture. It's him using his hands to guide the people pushing the gurney. It's like traffic control. Or when you help someone back their car out of or into a space. It's a "keep going" gesture and makes perfect sense.
